The Metmo bit holder is designed to work with their pocket driver. You can get a plastic cut out from Metmo that binds them together using the holder’s magnet and it works brilliantly to create a portable screwdriver set.

Great info on the vise! I don't know if your relationship with Metmo prevents it, but the 711L Lollipop is the best EDC pocket screwdriver I've ever handled. Can spin it quickly when the screw is loosened, and you can convert to an L handle when you need torque. 711L are about to release an in line ratchet product in a few weeks that will fit in the Leatherman flat bit exchanger.

The HOTO driver answers a direct question I've had about the slightly larger HOTO unit (which is a bit thick for some PC work), I'd very much like to be able to pocket a screwdriver in a mobile kit that can do this reliably and this seems to be largely what I've been seeking. I'm still not 100% sure why they do two-ended bits rather than stubbier single bits though - I think they could have handled six in the chamber that way. The vice is brilliant, wrap some cardboard around the host table and it should be much more useful for confined apartments and the like with no room for workbenches.

Small super strong magnets are hard to beat as a stud finder. Locate studs and avoid the screws.

Great collection Sir!! The vice grip was a nice addition, quite the opposite of EDC. Crazy that the Metmo bit holder doesn’t have a bit socket. I’d buy one I don’t get the fuss about the ad. It can be easily skipped and I assume it’s even relevant for the audience.

While I like Jackery in general, they are just more expensive for less features than Ecoflow and Bluetti. The Stanley Vise is great, but not sure how you got it for £21, the Amazon link shows it for $67 discounted to $46, which seems like a fair price for what it is.

For Jackery, it is listed as $799 on their site and the BLUETTI AC70 is on sale right now for $379 (AC180 is $549). Sure, that's a sale price, and prices fluctuate, it's just a tough market and when I cross shop, Jackery is almost always more $$ with fewer features. Still love my Explorer 500 though! (wish they still sold some of their creative phone power banks)

My instinct was that they came out 5 to 10 years ago and a bit of research suggested it was 2017 but they are indeed VERY useful if you're attempting to put up a heavy bathroom cabinet on your own which has holes in the back that are too small or deep to fit a pencil - absolute genius and would probably sell well in the USA too

The Stanley vice is very similar but not as versatile as the Dremel vice. The Dremel one is mostly plastic which makes it light and doesn't seem to make it weak. Not sure of the price of the Dremel vise these days, Dremel like to keep their prices high, I bought mine many moons ago.

I have some thoughts on some of the tools you mentioned, as a professional electrician using them every single day. The toughbuilt knife is a cool design and the knife itself is good, BUT you must use propietary toughbuilt blades. This is a deal breaker because the blades are crap. I've seen the blades chip and dent themselves from barely scoring copper wires. The Ox pencil is crap as well, it's good at first but the shealth/quiver wears out quickly meaning the pencil will fall out of the quiver constantly. The mechanism inside the pencil also wears out within months, making the lead slide back inside the pencil eith pressure meaning it won't even be able to mark anything after that. Stick to Pica.

The OX tough carbon marking pencil is a ripoff from the better quality Pica pencil. I can recommend the entire Pica collection (it's just a few items) to anyone. I have about 75% of their items in my home workshop. Epic stuff. I also have both Marxman marking tools and have only used the "green" one. So far it's great.

Have to be honest, as a first responder (firefighter), the Newtorch Pioneer look extremly bad designed by people who don't have any idea of what emergency services look like. 1: colours, directly tell you that something is wrong, firefighter, paramedics and policemen aren't the army, they are here for the population and they have to be visible in order to avoid being it by a car a be extremly easy to recognize, in the UK you even pushed that further than in Switzerland, so we don't want black/metalic tool, we want highly visible tools, like that we can see them in harder conditions and it is in fact even more important for civilians that plan to use it as an emergency tool, you aren't trained at all, you will probably be injured or at least under heavy stresses when you will reach for this tool, you need to be able to see it easely. design don't have his place in the emergency world, everything have an utility (excepted in the US, they missed 1 or 2 centuries). You can easely see it with real first responder multitool as the victorinox rescue tool, x-shears or even leatherman. 2 : Don't have to be operable with 1 hand, but have to be operable with fire gloves, this tool isn't, victorinox's rescue tool is easy to use with fire glove (logical, victorinox's CEO was a volunteer firefighter during several years), even for a civilian it is important, as said before, you will be injured or under heavy stresses when reaching for this tool, you need a tool that will be easy to use, even with your hands not fulling obeying you, heavely shaking, frostbite, etc... it will be comparable has if you had heavy gloves. 3: wrong tools, you won't for exemple never uncuff someone that was cuffed by the police, they will do it, you in the worst case you will cut the handcuffs or broke them and I never heard about something like that. I'm not a paramedic so I could be wrong and every countrys do it differently, but if my memories are good, in Europe, oxygen tanks do not need a key and even if they need it, remember that it is only for paramedics and that they have special pants, making it easy for them to access everything they need, including this key, which one doesn't weight anything and is way more easy and fast to access than this tool. This blade don't have any purpose in the emergency world, we need serrated blades like the victorinox one, it even better when they are securised as the second one on the victorinox's rescue tool, making if you are the rights blades, all the others cutter things useless, escpecially if you have a real pair of emergency scissors. The pocket clip is useless, you will carry it in his sheat in the emergency world, that can only get stuck in clothes or other things, you don't want that in an emergency. The saw don't have any use in the emergency world except potentially on a forest fire, it is why the only tool that have one is the victorinox's one and their saw is able to cut through windshield, giving them way more usability and they still work on wood. The only right tool is the ruler that could be usefull at least for firefighter. 4)the scissors are too short and not in the right material, they are too bad. (the biggest problem is the lenght) 5)We could talk about the pliers, this is an open discussion, I wouldn't integrate them in the same tool. 6) this thing will be a nightmare to wash after it was exposed to blood and other fluids. If you are a civilian, I would honestly recommand you one of those small springloaded glass breaker with a strap who are made of a visible plastic, somewhere easly visible and accessible in your car, everything else come with training and you got everything you need into the car's first aid kit (at least if it respond to the compulsory standarts in Switzerland), the first thing to remember is always: are you safe, then call rescue, then secure the scene, then rescue peoples if you can and if the operator don't said to you something else, ALWAYS KEEP THE OPERATOR ON THE PHONE! If you are a first responder, you honestly don't need my help, but to share it I have a victorinox rescue tool and as a Swiss firefighter it is enough, but I will probably buy emergency scissors (not a lot of knowledge here as I'm not a paramedic, will see what others recommand me), the pliers still an open debate, I whatever don't have the money for the moment. modification: and I forgot: WHERE IS THE GLASS BREAKER???

Also a firsts responder here. I agree with you, for the most part. I miss a glass breaker, although there are much better options as the ones normally found on multitools or knives, they still can be useful. For anyone who isn't a first responder, I would recommend a ResQme, a window punch and seat belt cutter in one. My two favorite rescue tools are, the Leatherman Raptor trauma shears, and the Victorinox Rescue. This combination is all, or even more than I need most of the time.
