I just picked up an inexpensive bum-bag from Matalan in their sale (down to just £3). It has the double ended zip which I had never seen on a bag before, only ever on coats. Reckon it will be a great feature.

The plus scales also gain the pin! Wenger scissors are really a poor design, i believe ! They snag up on some types of paper, and although Victorinox have put a rivet to secure the two halfs together, they are out classed by their once rivals? One thing i have also noticed is how light the evo series are, and this to me is a put off as they feel cheap? But are way more expensive than the Victorinox equivalent models these days?

The holes in the main compartment are such a huge design flaw that I would never feel comfortable carrying it. Everything else is just beautifully designed. Too bad.

I wish there is a sling bag like Bellroy 2.5L to fit a small camera like the X100V and other stuff, which would require a divider. When I pack mine there is no room for other things because the camera is floating around and I don’t want anything to scratch it. I personally feel the glasses pocket is not useful and I’d prefer the divider and small padding instead. I also have the Peak Design 3L but it gets dirty really easy and impossible to clean, while it lacks on pockets and the front zip is really tight. I like the idea behind Wotancraft sling bags and accessories but I don’t like the design at all 😢.

Only in the UK would you worry about a 1/16” chisel being considered a fixed blade knife. Good news is if you run into the cops it’s conveniently suppository sized.

Hello Jon. Watched your videos for quite a while now and really enjoy them. I love the look of the Alpaka Zip Pouch you recommend. I'm in the market for an extended wallet like that but don't really want to mess with shipping from the US as I'm in the uk. Is there something similar on Amazon that you could recommend.

I lived in Switzerland in1997 in locarno a got my first SAK and came back to Ireland and have it right now in my hand and use it nearly daily, amazing knife that has a difference to all other knife company brands is that you would hand it down to your family and thats what victorinox is known for, I also got a swisstoolx for my 21st birthday off my brother who lived in Switzerland for 15 years back when they first came out originally so both tool are bought from the local region in Switzerland, I have put this swisstool through hell I dropped it accidentally of apartments from 4 floor and not a problem also drove over it and I actually use this daily, I was gifted a cybertool recently and love it, quality counts and this is why victorinox is the best and other brands cant compete because of the customer service and quality control, no matter how many other brands try to copy them people realize they are just a just trying to imitate swiss victorinox but will never replace them

I love that they made some new design scales, for what I hope could be my new second Sak edc, I really really appreciate it, and I feel like a lot of women who love them would and do appreciate it, and others who love design, but it’s twice as much, which is just so so sad. Otherwise it would be amazing!!

There's a direct correlation between men losing their testosterone and starting to be interested in stuff like this. Your 'just in case' mentality has kicked in. Happens to everyone eventually. That's why people 'of a certain age' suddenly take up hill walking : it's a substitute for sex. You don't need to go out with a pouch, with sticking plasters, a torch, and meds to go the shops. Get a grip of yourself.

Es wäre schön wenn Viktorinox einen online Konfigurator hätte, so daß sich ein individuelles Modell zusammen stellen könnte. Zum Beispiel ein Bantam X Alox. Und ähnliches.

Long time fan of the channel John, and as someone who owns both the 9L and 10L slings I'd like to add my input. I love both! I actually for a while used the 10L as a camera bag and the 9L as EDC. The 10L has more opening, and the main compartment can be split into 3 sections, feels roomier, and the straps on the outside worked great for carrying a rolled up jacket if needed. I do actually prefer it's actual sling and that lives on the 9L, basically allows to quickly loosen the strap to easier access, and pull tight when on you so it's not moving around as much. Only other thing I noticed as well is the 10L, even thought it has the compression straps like all slings, it can't really compress due to the design for it to carry a camera. Either way I love both, I've been EDCing the 26L Venture backpack to accommodate for my kiddos stuff, but I definitely am looking into condensing my carry to the 10L I miss them 😅

I went from the Bellroy Lite Sling to the Go Sling from Alpaka now that I need to carry an iPad Air on occasion. I agree with all of your comments on the Go Sling: the entire strap is dumb, I end up using just the grab handle on the top and removing the strap altogether.
@JonGadgetКүн бұрын
good for iPad - yes strap is a pain (there is a similar one of the Bellroy x Carryology limited edition version of the Venture sling - and that is a pain too!

That grab handle has been a thing I miss the most on my Tom Bihn. The Alpaka is something I’ve been eying but have the same concerns about the bulky buckles and padding. If I need padding, I’ve likely overpacked.
