Great video! Thank you so much for promoting deserts from my country! 🥰 It is so nice to see people from such a far away country like Australia coming to my country Croatia and enjoying local food. Thank you again ! ❤

You had won us over from the moment we discovered Čupavci! We also discovered a strong connection between Croatia and Australia when we were there and felt at home. Thank you for watching and your lovely comments! 😀

They were! We weren't expecting Croatia to be big on desserts for some reason, glad we were wrong. It was really crazy to find the aussie dessert, lamingtons, in Croatia as well. It made us homesick!

We agree!! We thought Croatia had some of the best bakeries outside of France in all of Europe, so yum!😋 Did you try the Kremsnita when you were in Zagreb? That was Jay's favourite! Did you see we found your church with the tiles on it? - Jon

I really enjoyed that! I’m going to Croatia in September. I would really love to have a list of your top 10 to take with me. Do I need to make my own from the video or do you have one? I think you have the right upbeat personalities for KZbin and it comes through. It makes me want more. Laminations! I lived in Australia as a kid and remember them very fondly. Maybe they originated in Croatia and came to Australia from Croatia.

Thanks so much for watching and for your kind comments Marion! Croatia in September would be wonderful, you'll have a great time. For the list, have a look in our video description. There is a section called 'whats in this video' and we have listed out each dessert there. You can just copy that, easy! Lamingtons not being Aussie, now that is controversial! 😜 We had read that they became popular in Croatia in the 50s and this was likely due to the migration of a lot of Croats to Australia after WW2.

So it wasn't from Australia? It is fascinating how similar they are, but developed independently!
