This week's video is a response to one of our beloved subscribers! He used my UX Case Study template and made it through to the final stage of the process. He then asked, what questions should he prepare for the interviewers. 👉Watch next How to TRANSITION from JUNIOR to MID-LEVEL as a UX/UI Designer - kzbin.info/www/bejne/jaTEpaGvqd18qdU How to Present a UX Case Study in a Job Interview (Download Template) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/kIe9l4qcptKFeLs Create STUNNING Interactive Presentations | Figma Tutorial - kzbin.info/www/bejne/iX-WpWunnrmUaLM Yours truly, Mizko

Dude you drop so much gems, I remember watching your video like an hour before my interview last year and they asked the exact questions you had in your videos and I got the job. I know I'll come back to this video.

Thank you for this video! This list of questions is great! I asked them myself a lot of times during my interviews and they really helped me to figure out if a company is toxic or not. I also feel like I have to share a story here :) I was looking for a product designer position and had interviews for two companies simultaneously. I am a person who asks a lot of questions during an interview, cause I am always interested in details how a business works, how their design process looks like, and so on. And I always try to push interview to a dialog form rather than just monolog. So, long story short, one of the companies hired me because they were impressed with my attitude and willingness to dig and explore. Another one rejected me saying "you asked too many questions" 🤣 What should I say.. Not ALL the companies are interested in hiring someone who will challenge them. Define it for yourself first, what type of employee you're. Some people are good executors, some are visioners and so on. Answers you get during your interviews can help you find a good working environment for fulfilling your needs.

Thanks Katsiaryna! I’m glad it all worked out for you and you deserve a company that respects who you are :) We don’t live in a perfect world, so there will always be companies (or more specifically hiring managers) that feel insecure about being questioned. In the end, it’s a blessing in disguise as these companies were never right for you in the first place 🙏🏼

To really give you an idea if that's the place you actually want to work at or not just ask the interviewer: "Do you enjoy working here?". The body language never lies.
@selinov2 жыл бұрын
I feel like you're spot on with these, Mizko. The only thing I would mention is that I'm often not able to ask these questions because the interviewer has done their homework and answered them without me asking. Then I have to come up with new questions on the fly. 😉

This is a really good video Michael! Great questions and well explained. Nailed it. Thanks for the amazing content. I'd love to see a video on competency-based questions like "tell us about a time when...". I struggle with these. Generally because I can't remember. (embarrassed emoji)

Great video! 👍 Me in post-interview questions, I like to ask « What do you like the most, and what do you hate the most in the company ». It's always a surprising question 😅 This way, I can evaluate if the person is authentic about the company and I already know what challenges I will deal with if I join the company.

These questions you can ask if the interviewer is a designer, or mostly in your second interview. But what about the interview with the HR Manager? Do you have any advice what to ask them, other than usual basic questions like what is the culture in the company, how the collaboration is going etc etc.

Hi Mizko! Thank you for this video, as usual everything is top-notch. Could you please do a video about questions to ask for a UX/UI role at agency? I got contacted by a small agency, and there is no job description. I know it sounds like a red flag, but their website is legit (at least looks like that), but now I am wondering what exactly should I ask them to ensure its not a scam or just like a toxic work environment?
