Kingdom Come Superman was immune to Kryptonite. Apparently Kryptonian invulnerability only increases with age. Thought that was cool. And he wasn't evil per se. He just didn't care about humans as much anymore because of their ingratitude and fickleness. He still fought for justice but as an antihero.

Superman was never evil in Kingdom Come. He went into retirement after his wife's murderer was killed and Magog was acquitted of said murder of The Joker. He came back after Magog and his " Justice League" destroyed America's bread basket. He tried to guide the new generation of metahumans to act like heroes. Try reading Kingdom Come again to to get your information correct.

FRANK MILLERS THE Dark Knight returns, was a great Novel. Batman knew Superman did not kill, nor did Batman, untill the Joker. In the tunnel. How many people have I killed by letting you (Joker) live..Dang fine work. Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill would be perfect for a movie of the Dark Knight returns.BUT AS WE ALL know Warner brothers WILL SCREW UP that.. Henry Cavill is a good Superman. The Batman fight scenes in SvB are some of the best fight scenes in my lifetime so far. They even slipped a little of the Frank Millers scenes where Ben broke through the Wall grabs the weapon. Instead of a baby to be protected Batman protected Supermans Mother. Warner Bros. Is messing it all up...What a shame..

I've always said, Batman needs a do over. He a similar story line but change the fact that when him and Joker were in a fight they fought to the death and fell into a toxic chemical at a research chemical lab, when they both awoke they had greater intelligence greter stregth, speed, maybe 8 times the stregth. this way its believeble that whimp can be the joker and that Batman takes a beeting everynight he has a faster healing ability. Not superman level just about 7-8 time the normal person.
