I love that your husband joined you - the smile on both your faces is just beautiful - safe travels, love watching your journey!

I have saved these last several videos so I can binge them vs wait for a weekly release. 😂 I have to say, it was SO cool to see the various passes without snow covering them and to see the actual trail through them! I’m used to watching NOBO PCTers, so these areas are typically large snowy areas covered in various footpaths of the different ways people have navigated to each pass, so I’m really glad your hike showed me a different perspective.

Starting the episode in tears talking about human connection and then finishing it holding hands with your husband gave me all the feels! So happy for you that you got to experience the next part with him ❤

I was following you on TikTok and wondered the whole time how you would get though the Sierras later in the year and you did and it was gorgeous! Thanks for taking us along!

You are inspiring this wimpy day hiker to push a little more to add some miles. I’ll never be a thru hiker, but I can go farther than I have been.

The zip lock bag you had meals in at the end was insane! I didn't even know they're made that big lmao

I always appreciate the camera set up for your walk by! That is so many more steps to set up, walk it and go back for it. But it adds such another nice view for the trails. Thanks you for the extra effort!

I was hoping Brian would join you at some point. I dig your solo hiking too, but it is so enjoyable to see you both together hiking. Can’t wait to see the finish. The high desert is an interesting and beautiful place.

So excited to see this section and that Brian joined you! I am down with a cold and recently re-watched the Great Divide Trail series. I jokingly thought.... Oh, I hope that they bring extra snacks, hahahaha! 😂 Big love, you are so inspirational! I'm so glad that Brian gets to hike the rest of the trail with you!

Any day in the Sierras where you do more than 20 miles is very hard on your body. Well deserved rest after that kind of hiking.

Love watching these videos, it's a beautiful, spectacular landscape! I'd love to see the Sierras one day. What irritates me a bit is your pace. You're basically running though all of it, much seems about times and mileage. But I guess everyone enjoys these things differently. Hope you also found times to relax while wandering :)

I am super interested in how the desert section goes. I am planning on section hiking the pct over five years and so I want to pick the best time of year for each section and wondering if fall is that time.

Aw…at the end, i was hoping to see you pack your bear canister. Did all the food fit? What was the weight of the canister+food? Will be interesting to see in the next video if the Hubbie slows you down, since you’ve got your trail legs and he doesn’t.
@KrystaNorwick5 ай бұрын
Oh darn sorry I didn't show that! I was usually able to fit all of the food, except my snacks for the first day. The weight of the canister and food was a lot! I never weighed it, but it was heavy! And yes, my husband Brian did slow me down, which was a bit strange to slow down. But I was so happy to be hiking with him that it didn't bother me too much!

Is your pack the Kakwa 55? How is that pack working out? Do you have a bv500 in there?
@KrystaNorwick5 ай бұрын
Yes! I love the pack, so comfortable! And quite durable considering what I put it through on this trail. I had a BV500 in the top yes!
