How do you block with your offense when your running up the field? People do this to me all the time online and I cannot get off the block up field to make the tackle and for some reason the player always out runs my defense but my players do not when I have the ball? I’ve learned you gotta be careful about these pre-snap adjustments against the computer. They will aggressively counter your adjustments. Ie., making your defensive backs shade under will lead to attacking you deep. Use adjustments cautiously and moderately.

I love to use the Cover 3 and Cover 6 plays. Always helped me out in a tight spot (along with completely shutting down opponents). Ever since I discovered their effectiveness, I shut out every opponent.

What I’ve realized after playing Madden for many years with family and friends is, hot routing your defensive players really doesn’t matter if you don’t understand if your defensive players are in the middle of the field. All you really need to know is, are your players on the field correctly with any Offensive or Defensive play. The reason for this is the width of the field. Your players need to be closest to the wide end of the field which would make them be in the middle. DO NOT LEAVE AUTO-FLIP ON. Turn OFF. You should know how to make sure the play is in the MIDDLE of the FIELD. Once you have established that, then pick the play you believe your opponent will do pertaining to their Offensive Formation and down and distance. Pick your play. Do not flip play again after picking play because your players will no longer be in the middle of the field. Just because your opponent flips their play doesn’t mean you should. The person probably realized that the play needs to be flipped correctly because it’s not on the field correctly. Making sure your Offense or Defense is in the middle of the field applies to both Offense and Defense. It’s all about field position and accounting for the width of the field.

It depends really. A lot of defenses work best with it on, and for the average player they will be better with it on. If you have a specific defense that you want to blitz a certain way from, or off of one side, then you would keep it off.

@@EricRayweather say if you run a cover 6 or invert. You decide which side is cover 3 or which side is cover 2. Also say u just wanna run a cover 3. A safety coming down to cover us way better than a linebacker flowing left to right. With auto flip on you have no controller over that unless you flip the defense. And e we all know how bums like to quick hike so that’s a huge disadvantage.
