89 Frazier,... The re-chambered head gives you a noticeable power increase while giving you the ability to still run 91-93 octane pump fuel! No race gas, or 50/50 mix required. That's the icing on the cake. As with all engines, especially two stroke engines, PROPER JETTING is a must. Compression depends on what else you do to the engine. On this engine, I was running about 10:1 static compression ratio. Stock I believe is 6:1 As for what compression I'm seeing after doing this, meaning PSI on a gauge... 140-160 depending on altitude. Chamber size (in CC's) is also a factor. Be sure to keep your "squish clearance" in the .025-.050 range. I've found that .035 -.045 seems optimal.

Do you have to run straight race fuel now or is a 50/50 mix ok? What compression are you seeing after this?

How big of a difference did this head make?

Very nice. Thats how i did it hears ago. It is not accurate. Why? Because you also need to work with the dome of the piston and deck height. But........ Its a good way to start for sure. Thumbs up!

This is just one way to check total cc's. I'm just cc'ing the head in this antique video. Trying to keep it simple for everybody. Now I have a clear lexan plate with a hole in it, so I actually flip the head over with a spark plug installed. I level the head, istall the plate, and fill through the hole to get the total cc's. I've also assembled the head on the a complete and leveled engine after greasing around the top of the piston to get total volume of head and chamber at TDC. This is a two stroke, so I'm setting squish distance using soft solder through the spark plug hole. .035 -.050 thousands distance between the squish band and piston dome is optimal for pump fuel. Its very accurate actually. Its fun finding out what works well and what doesn't. I have way too many heads hanging on the wall now. Too many to know what to do with. Thank you for the thumbs up.
