I say try to follow as many 8th Doctor audios as possible. The 8th Doctor is my favorite Doctor cause his audios are so good and Paul McGann gives an excellent performance over the 20 years he has played the Doctor. Also it's cool to see an evolution of his incarnation cause he changes a lot and it was very unique to see an incarnation of a Doctor change over time. Usually an incarnation of the Doctor only has one personality but the 8th Doctor we see at the beginning is not the same 8th Doctor we see by the end and it's due to the events that happened throughout the audios that change him. Also the 8th Doctor was the first Doctor to experience the TIme War and the way he handles everything was cool to hear. I highly recommend Paul McGann cause he will become one of your favorite Doctors cause of the audios.

Goodness, how do you put all the kinds of media/books/ etc together and keep up?? Which, maybe it doesn't matter since its a timey thing, but good grief. i know its probably obvious to a long time STAN, (Whovian?), and I am a baby as far as this goes. But once you are in, you always want to go deeper and "study" more. Seems like the really successfull shows/franchises, have a whole universe of things and shows and different forms of media and that may be hard for fans that can't absorb certain media/books. Not complaining. Just wondering how people do it. I am a little older, but I got started with what I think you said was the 2005 restart. Now rewatching on my son's DVD collection (since I had to watch back then when on TV and missed a lot). I am hoping some of these longer episodes, mvies, will be in that set. Other than wantiing to see how Sarah Jane started and supposedly came to love the Dr, I really don't want to go back because they look so silly compared to the ones now (I may be wrong since what I watch of the modern ones looks silly to hubby - yet he adores Starship Troopers, I don't get it). i am just rambling and sounding like an idiot to any long time fans that may read, lol. Just don't know how those that aren't into all media keep up, and that movie with al the Drs, is it in any of the sets? Blessings!!
@RustyDalek723 жыл бұрын
Welcome aboard the mad ride that is Dr Who! Short answer, its virtually impossible to keep up, unless you are extremely rich and have a lot of free time. Dr Who comics, novels and audio adventures go back almost as far as the tv show's origin in the 60s. I personally have just dabbled in what I can over the years. I'm not rich! I recommend getting yourself subscriptions on britbox and spotify. Britbox has all of classic who including the 8th doctor movie and the 2 non canon 60s dalek movies. You'll find the 5 doctors anniversary special in amongst them. And if you can forgive the dated sfx there is a lot of great stories in classic who. On spotify you'll find a lot of big finish playlists. Just search big finish doctor who. Though you will need to also find a chronological list elsewhere as they are quite randomly placed and it will get confusing otherwise.

As for the missy/master, how is this theory. He/she knows there should have not been another regeneration, so he goes to the place that the doctor was trapped in and was told she was the origin of the regeneration, BUT the truth was it was the master. He (now male again) decides he will punish his "old friend" (whom he learns had a hand it in before having his mind wiped of that knowledge) and pins the blame on the doctor.
@Croftice12 жыл бұрын
This theory is simply wrong. As it sometimes is with theories. The Doctor is the Timeless Child, simply accept that. If you try to argue, that it's only the Master's words and he's well known to be unreliable source of information (in short a liar), then sure, he isn't trustworthy. But it's wrong to say it's only his word. People forget the Ghost Monument, where the Remnants (evil blanket monsters) also call the Doctor Timeless Child, even telling her, that they see all, even what's hidden from her (memory wipes, you know). That's two separate sources pointing towards the Doctor, the Remnants and the Master, one of them could lie, but not both. The Remnants operate on that level, they use your fear against you and the Doctor's fear may be something, that's even hidden from her.

Lumiat gives such a BS reason for the Master to be bad again Series 12. Real life reason is Chibs is a bad writer and does not care for logic. Such a great arc in series 10 for the Master's character and it could of been expanded upon more in later seasons. There could of been a more frenimies vibe to the Master again like we had with Delgado but no he is now even more over the top than we have ever seen the Master before and just hates the Doctor all over again for a cartoonish reason.
