Are these clinical studies from the people who make the products? Or are they independent studies not conducted by or reported by the manufacturer?

The studies are from peer reviewed journals. Some from the manufactures if they run invivo studies but not many companies can afford this

Thanks for sharing. I own and have used 5 out of 10 products on your list that's how much I'm struggling with breakage on my relaxed hair. My issue is I don't use either products consistently to see results because after one use I really don't see a difference. I used K18 for the first time 2 weeks ago right before I did braids and did not see significant results after one use. I'll continue using it alongside the Olaplex once I take down my braids and I hope that will finally stop the breakage. If it doesn't, I'll go back to natural because my natural hair doesn't break at all and requires none of these products.

So with a damaged hair shampoos is it used after clarifying shampoo? Because currently i wash with a clarifying shampoo first and then follow it with a moisturizering shampoo.

Thanks for sharing. Can you still use k18 after the avlon texture release system which has amino acids and Glyoxylic Acid?

There’s no need to use k18 immediately if you have a texture release. Like you mentioned, because of the ingredients in the texture release the hair is strengthened, fortified and softened. So you may not see the results of using the k18 immediately after. I’d say wait until you’re closer to the 18 washes that the manufacturer guidelines state that it takes to wash out, so that you can really see the results of the k18 treatment. Also be mindful that if you’re heat styling your hair often with the texture release that you’re reactivating the product every time you use direct heat. I hope this information is helpful.
