I worked as an aircraft mechanic for a while, and got loaned out to another line that was doing some work on a 747 snubnose owned by a Saudi prince. Nothing complicated. I just did basic airframe work, but they frisked us on the way in, and frisked us again on the way out. Almost all the faucets and toilets inside were solid gold. Then they explained why... Saudi royalty travels a lot, and there is always a chance of you-know-what hitting the fan and they get stuck in a country where their money isn't worth anything. So... They just pull out the toilet.
