The veggie steamer may have come with you pot and pan set. One came with mine. I use it all the time.

Yes, I will use all of these tips!! I was really rolling with decluttering before COVID hit, then I lost my momentum! Stella is trying to get her groove back! Lol! Love your hair, the painting behind you and seeing your Mom's smiling face, too! 👍🙂

Awesome reminder and great tips. I get overwhelmed when I think of the big picture. Yesterday I went through a sizable stack of school papers from last year and most got recycled. That's all I did but it felt great. Thanks Shannon!

Thank you I was going to start purging my winter closet and swap it out with my spring wear. I need to part with a few items. I am going to run some things down to my local thrift store. I am going to put my donation bag by the door. I can just throw clothing in that direction to get it out of here. You would have a field day in my closets here. Lol. I woke up at 4:20 a.m. and got some laundry in by about 5:15 p.m. I am disabled and I live upstairs so I used to overwhelm myself and do 6 loads of laundry at once then pile it all on my bed and end up sleeping on the couch which made my back feel even worse. I am doing smaller amounts now and putting it away that same day. I need to purge and do a spring fresh clean new start. I have ADHD so I used to rip up everything and go from one room to the next and get so overwhelmed the house was a wreck. I would cry. Believe it or not now I pray about my cleaning and decluttering. I look at it as preparation for my wedding. Today I have a ton of hand washables. I suggest to those who are tired to not put in a rayon style sun dress in the washer without a mesh bag for laundry delicates. I can still sew the seam where it ripped the hem but the thread detail came out in on the front and it is gonna take a fine stitch. I may just get rid of it. I do like comfortable summer like dresses. I just need to remember that the agitator rips up the clothes. I make more mistakes at night. Back to my point about the ADHD lol I used to tear up the whole house and go stir crazy. NowI still multitask but I keep on the same subject or task. I have to focus on one area primarily. I have to keep the visual clutter out of sight. Also I feel as long as I stay on my excercise routine at home on my recumbent bike with hand weights then I have the strength, energy and good mental outlook to organize and clean with inspiration to declutter overall. Ofcourse like all of us we have our down days where we do the minimal work like dishes ect. but just don't clean and rest that day. Just doing something each day is better than not doing anything at all for several days. To keep up on it in sections at a time.

I agree that you dont need a large anount of time to declutter. i can quickly go through a drawer, or cupboard while in the kitchen waiting for a pot to boil, or cookies to bake. Good advice!

If you don't use your husband anymore, can you declutter him? Does he count as more than one item? 🤣 A& E just uploaded HOARDERS. Watch a few episodes, up you will go: decluttering.

Good video. Best one you’ve done. Very interesting. As I watched it was fun to pick out the ones that I would like to do and cross out the ones that would not work for me. Thank you, Donna Lewis

If you do one room each weekend then it isn't too bad. If you have kids, have them watch a movie while you work. Or spend an hour doing it when the kids are at school or in bed.

Keeping a regular box or bag to declutter is so helpful. My Mom always did this, she kept a garbage bag behind her bedroom door that went to the thrift store when full. And now I do the same. Another idea that gave me a big boost when I started…. Each week I took about 10 minutes to choose a piece of furniture that really was not needed in my home. I would sale on marketplace or put out at the curb. Gave me a huge boost as all of a sudden you have more empty space that told me I was going the right direction.

Excellent tips Shannon! I believe I have used all but 2 strategies over the last several years. My favorite is finding a certain amount of items in a certain time frame! I enjoy it, I think it is fun. I almost never have trouble letting go of an item!
