I love black turtlenecks. I have a thicker, ribbed one for wearing on its own and a thinner, tighter viscose one (super breathable and cool) for layering. They are so classy, timeless and elegant and they remind me of Julie Christie in Dr. Zhivago. I love LilySilk, first every month I go to them, and if there’s any money left, I buy some food!

I love the t-shirt, silk bomber, dress, blazer and the combo blush and bronzer. I might use a smaller brush with the latter, and put the blush on the cheekbones and the bronzer just below, it looks like it would be great for that subtle countouring.

Kim XO, I get what you are saying about the white tee, but I have several custom made (by me) perfect fitting knit tee shirts. One is a silk/cotton blend (from Rebecca Taylor fabric). BUT…..I feel SO unbalanced in a white top. I try to wear it and in five seconds take it off. I am also, top heavy, and feel ten times more put together and balanced in a dark top. Then if I wear a topper, it is often light colored. The only time I wear these is in the fall or winter with a dark vest over it. Is that weird or do you have any advice that I am not seeing? Thank you.

Jamie from Texas send me some pictures on IG DM. Balance is key, something you could try is pairing a white tee with lighter jeans, so Grey, white (in summer) and a lighter blue. It stops the divide from light to dark.

Thank you for a great video - it reminded me that I need to get back into using necklace. They are such a nice detail and can add personality. Some core pieces for me are: black skater skirt (I quite simply despise how pencil skirts look on me, and if paired with black tights I can get away with these at work as long as it's not for important meetings or conferences), a white slightly loose (silky-ish) button up with a not-too-loud black pattern (for looking corporate but still with some personality), black tights (I have everything from 40-200 denier depending on the weather and the occasion), a well fitting black cardigan (for those days where I don't want to deal with a blazer all day)

If you are a bit edgy ...Would say a dark grey-black without distressing or obvious bleaching is the most versatile if you wear them with a lot of black on top or black band tees as I do. And they Work with suitjackets to. ( Depending on your dresscode from Work to Consert) but its your clothes and style specific. If this is you, you probably also like boots, booties and possibly Oxfords. ( and can mix in silk, lace, leather leggings etc)

Best way to care for silk is Eucalan delicate wash in your sink, no rinse, dry flat. You’ll have the garment forever and Eucalan is a great 🇨🇦 brand.

I always enjoy your videos. I have a question regarding the white t-shirt. Or any colour t-shirt shirt. Where I live in Toronto, Ontario Canada people here don't seem to be wearing t-shirts. After watching the u-tubers talking about them I went out to buy some. That was a challenge in itself. Finally, in the boys department. When I wore them everyone would ask why I'm wearing just a t-shirt or if it was laundry day. What is the big obsession with t-shirts that we don't understand here? What's your opinion?

Kim XO It is on Lily Silk’s sale page and it was only in an XL, usually get a large but I think the style will be ok with an XL. I am very tall and usually a 12 but It depends on the brand so fingers crossed. I have not ordered from Lily Silk before, their stuff looks great.

Thanks for this video. I love wearing white shirts but... Armpit stains and makeup 😣 I like the white court shoes I found years ago. They are leather and keep my feet warm even in winter. I throw them in the wash with bleach. jeans never fit me right...I literally spend months trying on jeans. I usually end up with an ill fitting pair. Just one. The struggle 😐I feel like I have blazers for work and others for play. They don't crossover well to me somehow style wise. I got rid of costume jewelry, they never last and tarnished. I wanted to save and get something nice that will last but it's not in the budget

NicNacAttack I hear you on all fronts...I don’t know if you are from the US or Canada...but I know that ‘excessive’ sweating is covered by lots of insurance, you can actually get Botox (if you are into that) I also did a hacks video and if you have a blazer or something on with the white shirt you can use slim pantylines in the pits of the shirt! It works like a charm! Make up...try using a scarf over your face when you put it on. We do this often at photo shoots. White shoes - I love that you throw them in the wash and they are leather! Great tip, I’ll have to try that!! Jeans- there has to be a pair out there for you! TopShop usually has great fitting jeans, if you tell me your bodytype I can give you some direction. Kim xo
