You used the "texture" effect the same way that I did for a short clip I did on instagram. I used a Cheetah instead of a Jaguar though.

Place the video overlapping the next clip a little bit, like have some time in both clips where it's blending in with each other - you'll see some overlap rectangle, then drag in the Slide transition, you'll be able to adjust the length of the slide transition as well here.

Depends on your timeline. Mine is 29.97 in this example. 2-6 frames per clip should work. (Just follow along the steps suggested in the video)

A bit off topic but Ive been looking a lot online about this, snd havent gotten sider. So Im trying my luck here. Im looking to buy a MacBook Pro 16” M3 Max with 128GB unified memory and 40 core gpu. I’m working a lot with editing in davinci resolve, 4k files (with proxies) and I am going in and out of fusion a lot to do vfx, mografs. I’m wondering if the M3 Max fully spec’d out will be able to handle this work with smooth/goo playback or good performance in other words. Anyone in the comments who have experience or is nerdy enough to give an estimate of how well it will perform? Reason I’m not going for a desktop windows is because of portability + some exclusive apple/ios features. Thank you, Bless to this community🙏
