In procreate you can insert a private layer that will not appear in recording. Click on add button and swipe left on insert a file/photo, the private option will show. Take a photo of your layout and you will have the reference in your iPad screen. But you need to export the video from procreate.

Just tried to use the paint tool in fusion of the DaVinci resolve IPad version to create a similar effect. But it seems like there’s only the multistroke possible. Did you ever try something in that direction?

Great video, Jaime! You can do it on a computer too, especially if you have a graphics tablet. Just record your screen in Photoshop or any other drawing app. And you can record individual elements and position them as you wish within your video.

@@gadswez it's more flickering than wiggling. I'm guessing he wrote the word a few times, then added each clip, lining them up and adding slight effects to create the blur/glow on some of the clips. Then I think he changed the duration of the clips to get the desired effect.

Yes of course you can use any tablet! You're just screen recording on a black background. Essentially creating your own overlay!

You can use Procreate Pocket on your iPhone but you can't use an Apple Pencil.

@@fondation6 Just a bit of fusion work, add a paint, softglow, and background node(s) and go in between them to your heart content. You can see the output in my short "Wavicles". In that you will see the curve inversion but that isn't in paint node, the hand waving and pointing is in the paint node. Sky is the limit!

Thank you for this. This is one of the more exciting enhancements I hope to add to my output. If you're ever wondering about the next idea for content, it would be great if someone would do the first steps for DaVinci Resolve. I mean the very first steps of loading video. I've done all the training and watched 1,000 videos but when I try to load my drone video into DaVinci Resolve, it puts the entire video in the first frame of the timeline. This never happens with the training sample data that's provided by DaVinci and some of the other content creators. But if I try to use my own video, it all goes in one frame. Therefore all the training, all the DR video tips from creators, all the things I've learned are worthless on DaVinci Resolve with regards to my own content.😞
