Whilst i would agree with the bulk of this video, i have to disagree about people being upset by unbalanced characters and overall abilities as general rule. Now that isn't too say that there aren't many people that just get salty at being beaten by better players, there are and that's undeniable, but you can't just ignore criticism because of such. The biggest gripes in the community at least in regard to salt comes from four sources primarily; those being three heroes and 1 general mechanic with other problems being due to bugs or certain character being under powered comparatively (Warden case in point). Predominately i have seen hatred for Shaman, Centurion and Orochi (due to rework), and with certain "Active" abilities such as Catapult. Below i hope that i can help outline some of the gripes good chunks of the community have currently so that a dialogue can be reached. Firstly Shaman can be fought and killed effectively, many are overconfident and openers are somewhat a problem due to predictability however should one be caught in her lunge whilst poisoned from any source, then the shaman does massive damage. The standing advice would be "Dont get GB'ed, dodge or dont get poisoned" is perfectly fair, however the main gripe isn't that she gets a bite off GBs for instance but primarily the damage. In line with this is that many believe that it is easier to execute this move due to its animation speed and ability to chain another if its missed then a similar ability "Demons Embrace" (Shugoki Hug), which is much slower and does less damage (except in critical health range) that leads them to say that its unbalanced/broken and in need of fixing. This i would say is legitimate criticism due to it having a solid basis and provided changes were made, i think hatred for shaman would lessen but not go away (It never goes away entirely). Balancing in this case rests upon damage being much too high for the risk you take dealing it. (I believe that this point was addressed by a Dev who said they were already looking at it, possibly for a rework) Secondly, the Centurion. Many (and i do mean MANY) people have problems with him which are similar to shaman, however on this one we actually have a good chunk of the community split on the issue. One side states that he is too powerful which primarily derives from his ability to drain your stamina extremely quickly and finish you (depending on hero) in two combos, which has led to much salt. However there is a fair point to be made by the opposite end of the community that in high level play he is extremely predictable, which is true and hence why the Devs haven't nerfed him again after his initial nerfing from release. He is considered a Pub-stomper mainly due to newer players not knowing how to fight him and leading to the Cents getting lots of easy kills. Quite honestly, i think both camps have a point and in fact that stark contrast in view is why Cents are viewed as extremely hard to balance appropriately, if you nerf him again hes even less viable in high tiered play and if you buff him, it simply alienates more of your player base. Personally i think a entire redesign of the character is in order, since its a catch 22 for the Devs at this point. (That and i will admit i wish Cent had a damn shield, but that's just personal bias showing) (I know this post is long but stay with me here) Orochi is only really despised now due to such a heavy emphasis being placed on his light spamming, personally i can see why people have difficulty due to reaction time and the like and personally i feel that its just a tad too fast, but not far off. The main problem here is that they are doing the same patches for both PC and Console using the same criteria which is their main flaw. On console Orochi and other assassins are consider OP due to the input delay of Consoles being the way it is, thereby giving nearly no time for you to react normally. When you factor that in with the Orochi's super fast lights, you can see why some people are calling for balancing to be done on a per platform basis rather then generally applicable. (A point i agree with) In finishing the last thing i see hated is active skills such as Catapult, mainly due to their ability to one shot targets from full to zero if they land. Normally one would roll out of the way but due to Ubi's tendency toward bugs, audio issue can make that impossible for the most part. On a less bug oriented view, Catapult is hated by those on the receiving end due to it being used during Team fights for an easy win by the users team (due to GBs and even your own attack animations in some cases being long enough to trap you in range of the insta death zone). Whilst lesser heard there are also proponents that argue that skills such as Catapult should do the same damage to teammates caught in them as well, in order to encourage smart usage of the skill rather then its more indiscriminate usage now. As i have hopefully shown; as players we can have legitimate criticisms of a game we play rather then simply raging when we lose, Its is only by actually talking about such issues (perceived or not), that we can attempt to better the game. Honestly i hope we can come to a point where the majority of the game is considered balanced by the larger consumer base as a whole, without the need to nerf certain characters into becoming ineffectual but as it stands that is a long way off it seems. Thank you for your time and i encourage you to discuss these points as much as possible.

Great vid! Your style of dry wit and humor is interesting to see. On #10: I think you make a good point about being aware of the environment and being careful around it, however there are certain cases where you will you have no choice but to be near environmental hazards. Some maps are just littered with cliffs and spike walls, not to mention the players who choose Raider or other characters with strong throw abilities JUST solely for ledging, or who's entire strategy revolves around ledging. I've seen ledge players wait near ledges entire matches, letting the game go to a draw because they refuse to go anywhere other than a ledge. Granted, this is more an issue of the community than the game, but still.

Warden op-- have they realised how underpowered poor he is right now compared to most other heroes? he is not unplayable and tbh he is actually pretty hard considering the amount of assassins nowadays who can easily counter him of they have a little experience. But damn. Warden has the simpliest moveset cause he was the mascot pf the game originally qnd it stayed like that. i dont think he needs buffs or stat changes. but dont younguys think that he could use more movesets? especially with.ubi buffing orochi and having centurion been able to stunlock you for 3 entire movesets before he runs out of stamina

I think warden is in a decent place. The only problem ive ever had with warden is fighting shinobis, because warden has trouble covering distances. Unfortunately the best counter (imo) is just to gain some distance yourself. 9/10 players who turtle far away will approach you if you start to back up while they back up and 6/9 of them will start doing really obvious and bad mix ups as they have spent a long time in their comfort zone.

K I agree with most of your points but the way you're talking makes me question how long youve actually played fh cause saying in a sarcastic crybaby voice "cheap or op characters" makes me think idk what you're playing I personally never dm hate or salt messages but you're making it look like you've never gotten angry because you're like above everyone or something you have to admit that they're still are a lot of op characters who are played by real scumbags and getting frustrated by getting ledged in a 1v1 is not stupid because a lot of the time it's not just you're fault but it is something to be frustrated about along with getting spammed

Most of the ledging does happen because you didn't watch where you stood though, the rest is because Warlord, and I disagree with FH having "a lot" of "op" characters. Highlander imo is too strong atm with the kick/grab 50/50, and I think it's more about the non-reworked characters just lacking their reworks. Also pls use text paragraphs or at least punctuation when ranting like that.

Played since the Open Beta. I have gotten frustrated, yes, but not in a long time because I’ve learned to control it. To me, getting tilted doesn’t help me at the game, it causes me to make silly mistakes that I wouldn’t have made if I was level headed. The game is much more balanced than it was back at launch (even wth new heroes in the mix). I can’t get frustrated if I get killed in a gank because the chances of me winning a 4v1 are slim to none, so if I die I’m not upset. If someone spams the “wows” or “thanks” I roll my eyes and move on because I know they’re trying to get under my skin - same with hate mail.

Marco Yolo about the kensei dodge attack, it is pretty overpowered right now. I stopped playing kensei because patience and dodge attacks can literally win you the fight alone. (This isn’t inherently because of the Iframes, more the fact that you can delay it so much.) You can turtle and dodge in a circle until A. They throw an attack (if it’s a light then throw. If it’s a heavy wait to see if it’s a feint Or B. Guardbreak. I’ve won whole matches just by dodging in a circle and then going straight into top unblockable for pressure. It takes no skill and shuts down almost any character. It’s especially frustrating when you play something like gladiator and get mauled because he dodges out of anything. It’s just something they need to look at. Hopefully they can speed up the attack and take off the delay.

Collin Davis i feel like they could fix kensei completely by doing one thing. Change it back to a light. My problem with it has never been the I frames or the delay, its that most characters dont get a decent punish. I just feel its very low risk high reward... But then again you have moves like gladiator zone so its not like its the worse thing in the world

I got this game in 2018 on Epic games with a terrible computer that couldn't even run it, I just got lucky and checked the free games of the week and bam. Never played it. Later on, my brother convinced me to buy it on xbox; never played it. A while after buying it on console, I got a sweet pc, and remebered I have it on Epic. Got into it a few days ago, and I love it, other than trying to block and it going through the block (slowed down and litterally went through a block, must be lag ig) it's been really good. Love the vid.

It's probably good that you went back and addressed each one more seriously, in case viewers were new enough that they didn't get the sarcasm 😂 I just picked the game back up over the weekend. So happy to see they actually fixed it! It was such an unplayable mess at launch that I tossed it aside and wrote it off as a failure. It had so much potential but the execution was awful. Glad they completely fixed the two game-breaking issues - no more constant peer-to-peer network drops thanks to dedicated servers, and no more spending more time in menus and matchmaking than you do playing thanks to UI "between the matches flow" changes. Now (as of earlier this year, apparently) it's the game it should have been at release, and better even than that.

As a new player, I found it helpful to just test characters, find the one i like (Aramusha in my case) and went straight to Training mode to test and learn the moves. Just repeat with a live bot. Then straight to vs AI. Then and only then go to pvp - skill level is way higher! But practice and training makes one ...better.

Another helpful tip is if you're having trouble fighting certain heroes play them, you will learn their strengths and weaknesses. My highest rep character is 7 but at least I know how each character can be countered.

Best tips I can give you... -Ledge people -Use shaman, centurion and any of the wu Lin characters -Spam emotes and “wow” “thanks” when you win the round/match -And last but not least, if you lose, you have to message the guy that beat you telling him that he’s a turtle with his character and that you could beat him with your real main

Genuine new player here. I am thankful for all of the new tips but I just can’t fathom how to dodge ganking (I’m assuming this is basically 3v1 situations, idk what it actually measn lol). On PS4, the enemy team almost always runs around in a group, therefore making it impossible to dodge the situation. This is your worst point so considering it was so awful means that the video was otherwise good. Thanks.

Hey bud - hope you’re enjoying the game so far! Ganking refers to any fight where one team/person is outnumbered, so 2v1, 3v1 and 4v1 are all considered “ganking” or getting “ganked”. I know I make a mockery of it in this video, but it’s purely because I see many people get too heated after getting outnumbered but continuing to run back into the same situation. In 4v4 modes, ganks will be unavoidable and not always winnable especially if the people outnumbering you know how to properly fight. Ganks can be avoided by sticking with other players or trying to maneuver around enemies rather than through them. Sometimes though, if you’re outnumbered, your best bet is to play defensively and create space until help arrives. Hope this helps, best of luck!

4:36 Oh my god the old valkyrie’s sweep animation was actually better than the one we have now, and makes more sense overall! It’s the first time I see it. It feels like the spear is more stable in her hand, with the staff kept well alongside her hip! Why did they change it into a cool but “hulk like wrist” (or “wrist injury) animation? They could have just sped it up (by eliminating the spin maybe) and then add the heavy stab finisher.
