My fave evil dead knockoff is Forever Evil from 1987. Ultra-low budget, fairly ambitious and entertaining despite some slow moments and a nearly two hour run time.

I was waiting for Dead Snow 1 & 2. which I love to call Norway Evil Dead. it's not a ripped off but it has some evil dead elements and directing vibe. The wooden cabin in the woods, dark comedy, protagonist losing his hand, shotgun and the chainsaw. it has everything. the quality and the fun. I think it's the best evil dead clone.

Premutos the Fallen Angel is the German Evil Dead and realy fun and extremely gory. Its also more inspired than a straight up rippoff but im sure sure you would love it!

Three knockoffs with a rock music element: Rock and Roll Nighmare aka Edge of Hell. Super 80s. Deathgasm is basically New Zealand's Evil Dead. No cabin, but similar tone, evil pages, and possessions. Studio 666, the Foo Fighters movie.

So happy to see Bloody Muscle Bodybuilder From Hell getting some love. It’s probably my favorite ED clone. The reason it looks older than it is, is twofold: firstly was shot on 8mm. But also, while released in 1995, it was actually filmed over the course of close to 12 years. I don’t know if Forever Evil is on your list for future videos, but the first half of that movie is definitely a clone

Man, Brad Dourif was in Return of the King but he wouldn't actually see himself in an actual release for that movie until after The Hazing came out, since he's only in the extended cut that came out a year later lol

There is a funny Evil Dead ripoff from germany called: Black Past by Olaf Ittenbach. It is one insane late 80s german splattermovie and the debut of Olaf Ittenbach with a lot of references to the original Evil Dead. If you do not seen it, check it out. Ittenbachs later movies like Premutos or Chain Reaction are watchable too. He is one of the few german genre directors. cheers - robert : )

There's also May The Devil Take You and it's sequel, which were basically Indonesian Evil Dead. Interestingly, Evil Dead Rise was made a bit predictable to me because of how similar it is to the plot of the first May The Devil Takes You. At least in terms of who lives and dies, anyways

I think the first Leprechaun movie was trying to be an Evil Dead rip off...It seems like a stretch but if you watch the trailer for the original leprechaun, It really feels... Evil Dead-ish, (they've even got the rapid zoom through the woods shot)

I'll start with echoing the recommendation on The Hazing. I remember checking it out back in the old video rental store days, and finding it to be quite a fun flick. Of course, I'm also a sucker for anything with Tiffany Shepis. Now for my very likely to be unpopular opinion: The Evil Dead Remake is so close to these films because, well, orig Evil Dead is kinda generic and meh. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness, but the original? I'm thankful it exists to pave the way for the sequels, and start Bruce Campbell & Sam Raimis' careers, but I honestly just never cared for it. I didn't care for the remake either until it got to the parts more taken from Evil Dead 2.

The 1987 British horror movie Bloody New Year also takes some cues from Evil Dead (although it's not a pure rip-off). It's so bad that I laughed out loud a couple of times while I was watching it. Fans of terrible movies should definitely give it a look.
