3:21 Excuse me? What do you mean that no one wanted a squash match between The Undertaker and John Cena? It made perfect sense as part of the story line. Cena kept begging The Undertaker for the match, so when The Undertaker finally accepted the challenge it was like "Fine, I will give you the match you want" and then beat him quickly to teach him a lesson.
@jamieclarke8464 ай бұрын
Plus Undertaker said himself that Cena justified it to him by saying Cena had been trash talking Taker for weeks so he needed to simply go out and wreck him, although Taker was disappointed it wasn't a marathon match.

To be fair, no logical person believes that this isn't simply athletic entertainment. It's analogous to the Circus where we have well-trained and practiced people doing well-rehearsed acts. They do their best to hit hard, but safely. To pull off amazing stunts, but safely. They know who is going to win each match. It is NOT fake at all. It is real, scripted, and fun.

The real question was why were they using a crash pad at all? I’m sure it won’t have felt great but wrestlers take a bump on hard surfaces like concrete or the stage occasionally so I wouldn’t consider this one to be overly dangerous. The only thing I can think of is maybe Rusev was working with a nagging back injury and they didn’t want to aggravate it with that bump.

Taker couldn't raise his leg fully for the boot with the same snap and quickness that he had a decade earlier; Cena HAD to sell the running boot as one of Taker's signatures. @@JLWprime10 2008 was on of the best years, and the last good year of wwe until 2023. After wrestlemania 24 in 08 is when they started going into the pg era. That years royal rumble was amazing and my favorite. The unexpected return of cena, edge wining the title to set up the edge undertaker feud, which was one of the greatest feuds and storylines wwe has ever had. It set up perfectly to be one of the greatest roads to wrestlemania there's ever been. I was so hyped leading up to mania 24. That became one of the greatest manias ever. That whole card was stacked with amazing matches and moments. My 2nd favorite mania after mania 17 being the best there's ever been. 17 had the best card ever and so far nothing has ever been able to top it, no show or ppv from any promotion has outdone it, including wwe. 2008 was one of the best years for wwe content and best years outside of 06 for the ruthless aggression era. After mania 24 they slowly started into the pg era and in 09 they took off with it and ruined the wwe until 2023.
