10 foot Cowhide Bullwhip made in a Prison

To add to the history of this whip This is my Bullwhip. When I was in high school I worked in a leather shop where this whip hung. My boss told me about it and said I could have it if I helped him clean saddles and repair cowboy boots. I worked a whole year in that leather shop though I didn’t make a lot of money. I made a lot of good memories with that old man. He has since passed and I wanted to get this fixed to keep his memory alive and the fall was not strong enough to support the weight of the whip. I wanted to fix it. I never cracked one too much because the fall would break the little pieces at every crack. he told me it was made in a prison in Colorado and they used to sell these kind of whips all over the place in the 80s in the 90s and he got it and kept it taken care of. it’s not as good as a kangaroo whip or a modern whip maybe but it’s got a lot of meaning to me and I’m happy Adam was able to fix it

No, compared with other whips I have it doesn’t crack that easily. But with the wide fall and long cracker, it doesn’t kick or buck.
