Rooney started playing as a CAM/CM when RVP came. He still scored 10+ goals from from 12/13 even last season when LVG played him in strike he was hitting form earlier in 2016. But this season he's not been so great. Been benched for like half of the season. He's not going to score many goals now but he still assisting goals that's maybe his new way of playing. Wayne Rooney's career hasn't really declined. He's been consistent pretty much every season. Pretty much every year he almost has the same amount of goals. He's dropped to a deeper role playing as a CAM or CM and he still has more assists than Ozil. Its not about goals its about what you do for the team and Wayne Rooney recently has been pretty consistent since he's been starting for Man United he's been scoring and assisting and I know he hasn't been playing as much. During this season he's been coming on as a sub or he's been injured and he doesn't have that much time to score all the time or do anything and he's been playing in a deeper role so that's why his goal ratio has gone down. He's not declining.. He's just playing a different game. I don't know why you English hooligans criticize Wayne Rooney he's been the best English player ever.

Rooney is more of a midfilder in the last few seasons. It was LVG who started playing him in CM so he was hardly going to score more goals but at times even last season when he played as a striker earlier on 2016 Rooney was on fire with goals until his injury in February which Rashford arrived and Rooney was forced to play in cm. But these days I see Jose playing him on the wings which doesn't makes sense since he lacks pace. If he starts he should always play in CAM.

2009-2011 Rooney was the best in my book. He carried the United team alone those two years after Teves and Ronaldo leaving left a giant hole in United's attack, helping them finish 2nd and 1st. Poor Fernando Torres. During his time with Liverpool he was one of my favorite strikers in world football. During the 2008-09 season his partnership with Gerrard destroyed defenses in England and gave Liverpool a 2nd place finish, while with the Spain national team he also formed a deadly duo with David Villa in front and scored goals for fun as they got fed with tons of killer passes and through balls from the likes of world-class midfielders in their primes such as Alonso, Xavi, Iniesta and Silva. Sadly his form declined right after the 2010 World Cup, and I was waiting for him to be back in form for 2-3 years before eventually accepting the fact that he was past his prime. P.S. Where is Adriano Leite Ribeiro? That guy had the potential to be the heir to the all-time great R9 for his time in Parma and Inter, but depression, alcoholism and subsequent weight gain sadly ruined his career. Imagine if he actually fulfilled his once great potential together with Pato (whose career takeoff was sadly halted by tons of injuries) and eventually partnered Neymar in front - that would have been really deadly!

Rooney could still do a good job in striker. Don't know why they pushed him back to midfield so early when it's obvious it's not his natural position. I support Reading so I'm unbiased towards him and Man Utd

Rooney peaked too soon, it's true. On the other hand, he was one of the greatest and most complete 18-19 year old footballers in history. Pele is the only superior teenager I can think of.

Torres was his own fault because he was severely injured before his transfer to Chelsea happened which was a huge mistake he was just starting to get back in his groove at the start of the season and it stopped when he went to play in a different club , different atmosphere and different tactics

Ask any Chelsea fan, Torres' goal against Barca in the Champions league semi-final makes up for his time with the club.

Micheal Essien and also didn't have swift decline in first season he was tank he scored 4 goals in PL and controlled from midfield as Chelsea won League and next season but what a beast he scored 8 goals as Chelsea won League Cup and FA Cup and came second on League. 2007-08 he was great as scored 7 goals as Chelsea were runners up in PL and CL and next season he was good he scored 5 goals as Chelsea won Fa Cup and 2009_10 he scored 5 goals in PL as Chelsea won League and FA Cup double but next season he declined but matched 4 goals in his last season for Chelsea

Kaka and Rooney got older...Torres is doing better now, and Torres did fine for Chelsea, he (sadly) scored the winning goal against Barca so Chelsea can reach the finals and win Champions League

Adebayor just decided to play when he wants cause he barely tried. when he tries he can score a hat-trick. his career didn't decline dramatically it's just that he never tries as hard. i can bet if he starts focusing harder on football, he will dominate leagues all around the world.

rooney till 2013-14 season was one of those players who would distribute ball from deep and after 20 sec find some space in d-area....such was his dedication...he became the player who he always wanted alongside him and wasted most of his career in doing stuff thay ferguson should have ask someone else to do....shearers record would have broken if wayne was the lone striker for 4 consecutive seasons

Literally still on the ad but still can't wait to see Fernando Torres on the list 🙃
