About paying bills on time.... when I retired and was only going to be receiving my pension at the end of the month, I called all the companies that would be sending me bills and asked if I could get the due date changed to the end of the month. They all said "no problem." Those few telephone calls sure simplified things for me going forward.

Popcorn popped at home in a pan on the stove is an inexpensive snack that can be put in sandwich bags. A lot cheaper than buying chips!

Thx for the reminders. The other part of driving efficiently is to bundle your errands/appointments. E.g. go to gas station, supermarket, and pick up drycleaning all on the way home from work if they're in the same vicinity. Doing several errands on a workday usually means I then have at least one day where I don't need to drive/leave home at all.

I wear a fleece vest if the house is cold. I can do all my work without it being too bulky. If you have south facing widows, have the curtains open during the day in the winter. In the summer, unless it's a cloudy day, keep them closed.

❤️ these tips. My grandchildren birthdays are April & May,sons bday is May, DIL bday is July. I ship the grandkids something via Amazon Prime. To save on shipping costs for my son and DIL,I individually wrap & ship their bday,Mother’s Day and Father’s Day gifts in one package.

Just to throw in my 2c: professional chefs use nonstick pans all the time, especially to cook things like eggs. I know demonizing nonstick pans is popular in some circles but I think the "use the right tool for the job" attitude is healthier. Chef KZbinr Brian Lagerstrom talks about this from time to time.

I am inclined to agree with you on this! I know there have to be good nonstick pans out there. However, it seems to take me a lot more trial and error to find a good nonstick pan, whereas, the stainless steel always seem to workout. 😳 Maybe I'll try again in the future! My husband likes nonstick pans so maybe he'll be the one to buy it 😁. Thanks for commenting!

@@frugalcreativeliving At least in restaurants, the Winco brand nonstick pans are pretty common and they don't last forever unfortunately (it's not easy to outsmart restaurateurs in picking pans because their livelihood depends on it). It's 2-3 years at most. That's the nature of how those things are built and there's no conspiracy (as much as we'd like to believe it's the maker's fault)

A person needs to get living on 50% income and saving/investing the rest as quickly as they can. Young and have no idea how prices change. In 1976 when I was 21 a Big Mac & fries was $1.20 now price is $9.79. Dollar stores were called five & dimes because things were 5 or 10 cents. I could live on $10k a year, the same lifestyle now cost $70k and only because I don't have a car payment, would need to add another $10k if I had a new car + insurance. Plan for $10 million retirement fund in 40 years if you want to maintain same lifestyle and eat that $80 Big Mack & Fries 40 years from now. When I was young I didn't understand why grandma was eating cat food on a cracker, now I do.

The store looks at what items you pay for and they send you coupons on those items. I really enjoy that. I'm really grateful for the store I go to on a regular basis. The coupons really help out and when an item is on sale and you have a coupon that's way cool as well. I just to say that I really appreciate this video. Thanks again. Consider telling family and friends that there will be no Christmas gifts or birthday presents. Unless someone actually needs something practical be a leader to your family and friends and say no to seasonal buying of something they already have several of to begin with.

Why do you have so much "dry clean only"-clothes in USA??? I live in Finland and I think that only some winterjackets are drycleanonly. If they are made of wool. I love your videos, I watch them often. I like the way you speak, it's so easy to understand even my english is not so good 😊❤

Even if an items says 'Dry Clean Only' I wash everything in cold water and dry flat, no problems and no toxic dry cleaning chemicals. Since Covid, many Dry Cleaners have gone out of business.
