Two of the games you mentioned are also on my wishlist, Castles of Burgundy and Robinson Crusoe. Much of my list are games that came out this year. Beyond the Sun has been climbing up my list every time I hear anyone talk about it!

@@BeingFriends I did end up buying Beyond the Sun after my comment above and absolutely love it! I also got Castles of Burgundy, but have yet to play it, whereas BTS has gotten half a dozen plays or more!

Cosmic Encounter is so much fun! it was my introduction to modern board games, my D&D group played it when we needed a break from our home-brew campaign. Just embrace the absurdity, really competitive people who want a ton of strategy may not like this one as much, because of the chaotic/out of control nature of it, but I love it for that reason. Some of my best gaming moments have come from it. I.E. introduced it to a friend group, one of my friend was smashed out of his mind and barely knew what he was doing but still won, the guy who was stone-cold sober and thinking through all his decisions lost significantly, but everyone was laughing the whole time, so it didn't matter.

so, i did end up getting CE😆😆😆 and I LOVE IT! While it is chaotic I would agree, there is actually a ton of depth and agency when it comes to strategy. Its all about how you play your hand. It is very similar to poker in my opinion! oh and thats brilliant.

@@BeingFriends I'm thrilled you love it! and yeah bluffing/negotiation playing your cards right all part of the greater strategy, I've found that if you jump ahead too early the rest of the table will do everything in their power for you not to win (rivalries from other games can play into it as well). so you have to manage your position on the colony tracker really carefully, and be especially devious in general. Its loads of fun, and remains one of my favorite games of all time!

@@BeingFriends oh and cosmic dominion/incursion are great expansions which add specific defender reward cards so it entices people to defend a bit more for more powerful cards.

I'm in the same boat as you. The people I play with are way more casual than I am, yet I keep on adding these big beefy games that I desperately want to play lol

Heroes of Land, Air and Sea with expansions is top on my wishlist. Roll Player Adventures with Roll Player + expansions & Dice Throne Adventures + expansions are also ones I'd love to get.

@@BeingFriends It was a great Christmas for my wishlist🎄 I now have Roll Player with Monsters & Minions plus the entire Heroes of Land, Air and Sea collection. Roll Player has been great solo & 2-player. Still haven't got HoLAaS to the table yet, but so excited to play it👍

Have Fake Artist and it's always a hit man. Has non-gamers and gamers asking about it, and when you do play, always end up playing multiple times. Just got Insider from Oink too. Recently started listening to Gamecasters, some hilarious people 😁. Just found OnePipWonder too, she great! On the topic, always felt y'all would reaaallly vibe with Lord of the Board too (KZbin - another fav content creator). As for something new, I feel y'all would really enjoy Dune Imperium. Don't know much about Dune but the game looks pretty ill. 🍻🍻
