Buying the game does not give you lifetime permission to reproduce and use other people's copy of the game. TheAlbinoDude No they are not, not at all, Thats why you can find them so openly and easily on the web, and why most places where you can find them have specific rules about not having any ROM's or ISO's downloaded with the emulator or posted on any forums that may be attached to the site where you can get the emulator. Same goes for the bios files that make some emulators work, because there is nothing illegal about using an emulator for a system you own, with games you own, so long as you can snag your own bios file from your system, and make your own ROMs and ISO's from games you own, it's completely legal unless you don't own the stuff you emulate.

Jdawg1613 I'm not sure about the legality of those games, and I'm not sure where game freak stands on that stuff, I played a bunch of modded 1st gen pokemon games, but that was a long time ago, and there are a number of fan made pokemon games that have been stopped by nintendo, so it's up in the air as far as I see it, in these cases, the older the game the safer it is usually.

A must is to label all your plugs what console or PC component they are for, including tv leads at the TVs end. it's a life saver if you have a large set up and little outlets.

I play PC almost exclusively because there aren't many new titles that can't be played on PC coming out on console. PC generally offers a better experience that you just can't achieve through console gaming. I still play my PS2 FatBoy every once in a while for some more Gran Turismo 4 or Tony Hawk Pro Skater, but the new consoles just don't do it for me anymore. I don't like being an "elitist" or being labeled as "that guy that screams PCMR", I just want to play my game at decent framerates above 720p. That's all I want. PC offers that. Console doesn't. It's as simple as that. I'm not saying console is bad or anything like that; in fact, console offers a very simplified choice for gaming that doesn't require that new NVIDIA driver that borks your GTX 480 or that virus that's using you computer as a drone in a botnet. Console is simplified, but offers a worse gameplay experience; PC is more "difficult", but offers a better gameplay experience overall. No arguments to start here; they both have their perks and weaknesses.

I think it should be mentioned that the reason for wired gaming, i.e. Ethernet cable, is because of the bandwidth limitations and lag from a wireless connection. Granted things are wicked fast now days, but the max bandwidth of most wireless connections is 10 Megabits (not MegaBytes) per second whereas the Ethernet is capable of ... 100 Megabits/s ... I think... I could be a little wrong on the speeds, but you get the point.

Wifi works for PC gaming, I run 2 wifi cards on 2 separate channels 1 long and 1 short with a wifi dongle for added protection ;) NEVER have I dropped connection nor do I get bad ping. Normally avg. 12-25 ping on every game unless they have awful servers.
