This was actually a really great video. I have a co worker that I care about have a family member pass away. I can't do most of these ideas since I am not a close family member but I loved the plant idea. Mine would have to be a potted plant but I think it's better than flowers. My friend lives plants

My son's girlfriend of 7 years (who is like a daughter to me), her father just passed in hospice from cancer. He let me know he had passed and I asked what we could do to help she's not ready to talk and he said not to send anything right away. I feel helpless because I want to send a plant a book food etc... but I don't know what to do?

Maybe some of our ideas will spark your own. Many people say they don't want anything, but it is comforting to the grieving just knowing people are thinking about them. Sometimes a simple hand-written note will suffice.
