In this How To Metalcore lesson I explore 10 types of breakdowns, on guitar and drums for djent, thall metalcore, deathcore and hardcore. Using the best budget metal guitar, the @fender Squier Bass VI Baritone guitar in DROP G0, a super heavy guitar tuning, lets see how we can make the heavy. When writing a modern metalcore instrumental, the build up and the breakdown can be the most important part of your song. As always, using Otto Audio 11 11, Invasion Drums this time and Darkglass Bass as a metal bass plugin.

The 1st one was sick, but mostly the lead underneath it is what caught my ear I think. Also, I am the same way, I've heard riffs get played since the old school metal core days, the old 5,7,8 riffs, and It's so hard now to find new or unheard note combinations, where as sounds...I love when I find a song and I'm like...how the hell did they make that noise. I've spent days and days on weird plucks or neck bends or just what can I do to make my guitar make a sound, cry out to me, or whatever. Very relatable my man!

@@BrendonKPadjasek I was a 16 years old boy back then and now I'm a grown up man and I still love the same music and your band is one of those few that shaped me growing up. I just started releasing my own stuff (after more than 10 years of bedroom mixing/writing demos only for myself and close friends), it makes me fulfilled and happy and if it wasn't for you and bands like Volumes, Silence, Periphery or Invent I wouldn't be doing this now haha So it's very cool to see you're still around and making content (you know that feeling when there's a band you loved as a kid and grew up with but they since broken up long ago and all of the members are now nowhere to be found or just moved on with their lives doing something completely music unrelated?
