Elbows on the tables: I do it when I’m drinking coffee or just sitting around. But during meals, I keep them off out of respect for the elderly around the table. When the meal is over, they’re allowed back on the table. Paying for a date: I like doing it if it’s the first date out of tradition. But in a relationship or later dates I allow them to pay (but as you said... I’m always ready to do it)

I know a guy with horrible self esteem. He dated a girl who never paid for anything, expected him to do all the cooking and cleaning and pay her £50. To make matters worse, he was stuck in a high stress job and had no real social life. Things got so bad, he took to drinking. His girlfriend told him to leave until he straightened himself out. Eventually, he attempted suicide. Fortunately, he was stopped, put on suicide watch and directed to a good therapist. He broke up with his girlfriend and kicked her out of his house, quit his job and is basically turning his life around. Guys, please don’t let girls use you or step all over you. You’re worth more than that.

Totally agree on the date and who pays even though I've been with the same female for 18 years we will go out and if I pay she insist on leaving the tip or there's times where she will pick up the food bill and so I will cover all alcoholic beverages and the tip, it's more or less like we'll treat each other each time out or say we hit the movies, and afterwards go out to a chill Spot to eat and have some drinks and I will scoop the check there, again... treating each other out, being no pressure on any one person to decide on who's paying what! Point being if she insist on paying for something then you pick up the tip and treat her on the very next move y'all make... be it the same night or the next time out as it shows both folks are all in to have a good time with each other and no one is really thinking or stressing over who's paying for what, as one person pays... the other will reciprocate the action and appreciation on whatever's happening thereafter
