There is no scientific evidence of benefits using multivitamin integrators in a “normal” person healthy person, this thinks should be taken only under medical advice. If you are okay they are for sure a waste of money because you simply pees them 😅 A cold shower can be dangerous for people with cardiac problems. To learn about evidence based medicine I would like to suggest everybody to red the book “Trick or treatment“. It’s very mind opener.

I just saw a video by Jocko Willink. If you don't know him, he is an enormous ex-Navy Seal Brazilian Jui Jitsu doing fitness doing motivational speaker doing hyper physically competent person. I've been following you since 2006 and learned a lot about guitar from you. I teach high school and my student is learning guitar and I asked him which youtubers he follows and he follows you. You're responsible for teaching several generations of guitarists. Now I'm at a low point in my life and this video gave me the nudge I needed to make some healthier choices. Thanks Justin for all you do. You said you weren't sure about making this video, but this was exactly what I needed.

Man, you’re such a good guy. I really appreciate what you do. Not just the amazing service you provide for countless musicians, but the wonderful example you set for people in general. It’s a great reminder that positivity and generosity are as much a part of human nature as cynicism and greed; it’s just a question of which qualities we nurture.
You have already made a huge impact on my life years ago, when I had found you on YT. And I am really glad that there are a number of things in life we share, not just playing guitar. It’s been good to hear these things from you. Merry Xmas to your family and the whole community! Take care and keep up your great work!

7:08 I did boxing/kickboxing for 2 years and it honestly became one of my favourite activities I've ever done. The "art" side of martial arts is amazing. And learning how to perform an action, like punching, in a way that uses not just your arm but your entire body is a skill that I still use today even when doing non-boxing related activities.

17:45 Justin, you have been such a source of inspiration for me over the years, but I must say this might be the number one video you have produced, in terms of really having a positive effect on my life. It hasn't been all that long since you started to "dabble" in videos that were not strictly about playing guitar (as great as they are), so I would like to encourage you to continue with these "go beyond guitar" videos. In particular "Tip 8 - Think About Life", in my opinion, is the most profound of the tips you have presented here today. That (again in my opinion) is the key to what you are getting at in this video. Thank you so much for your sincere insights, not just here but also in all of your videos. Wishing you and those close to you all the best for the new year...and thank you, once again. 🙏

I was about to criticize the supplement suggestion since many creators push trash on people but after taking a look AG1 contains a lot of genuinely good stuff, with an impressive attention to detail (like using calcium citrate and magnesium glycinate instead of just putting in the cheaper carbonates and calling it a day). Most of the extracts seem to have actual studies finding at least some statistically significant benefit. It seems like a good way to get a lot of good stuff without doing a lot of work researching. It would have been better if the extracts used were standardized but that would push the price even higher, and despite being good it seems too expensive to me already.

Thank you Justin for sharing this with us. I've been struggling a bit recently with my mental and physical health (laziness being a big reason) but it didn't used to be like that. In the past I had actually been doing a few of the things you recommended and they had a positive impact, however, the key here is that I wasn't applying them consistently - only a bit here and there. I will return to doing regular meditation and the cold showers as both those things have really helped me in the past. Once I have that down, the next step is to get back into a form of regular physical exercise - nothing crazy, but something that is manageable and regular. I have heard about stoicism as a philosophy in the past but never done any research on it regarding applying it in your life. This is something new that sounds interesting and will check out. Wow, this really motivated me. Thanks again Justin and happy new year! :)

Great ideas for a vibrant life, Justin. Good to see Ziggy make an appearance! I am not responsible enough to have pets (lol), but I volunteer four to five days a week at my local animal shelter walking and caring for doggos. 🐕I get my night-owl butt out of bed at 6:15am to get to the shelter by 7:30am. 🤤The dogs need love and care every day including weekends and holidays. When weather allows, I ride my bike, adding even more outside activity and happiness. The job expands my heart and works my body, and I know I'm contributing to helping doggos become more adoptable and find them furever homes. 🥰 To this list, I'd add treating yourself to the best quality food and way of eating that you possibly can. I am so grateful and proud of myself for having lost nearly 80 pounds in the last year by improving my diet and getting more active. It feels great! AND! Skinny me can more comfortably hold my guitar and play for hours and hours without tiring. 💪 For anyone who would enjoy a labor of love with animals, including lots of activity and exercise, look into volunteering at your local animal shelter 💓 p.s. Humane Society offices in the USA are a great resource, but do check the municipal shelters, too; they are often badly understaffed and underfunded, and tend to be the most desperately in need of volunteers.

My 2022 decision was to start learning how to play the guitar. So I got myself a Yamaha Pacifica, and I found myself a teacher on top of KZbin lessons. I still have a long way to go, but the way I see it is that I can ether be the version of myself that doesn't know how to play the guitar or the version that does. I chose the latter and I don't really care how long it takes.

Hey Justin, not sure where to ask this question! Is it possible to do a lesson on using blues licks when following the chord changes? There's so many lessons on youtube about using the pentatonic scale to improvise and lots of lessons on essential blues licks you must know etc... but not many on when and where to use them, how to manipulate them to fit the bar/time and how to fit them around chord changes. I love this video. Because it’s more important to enjoying learning guitar than we imagine. My thoughts, doing some of the things You do and wishing I could physically handle Brazilian Ju Jitsu: -Listening to music, walking, dishwashing, playing an instrument can all be the object of meditation. But you need a little experience first. I also use Waking Up. It’s the only app designed around having a better experience in life, not being better at your job, or achieving more, or any goal, its only focus is being present. Which is why you can use it doing any activity. And Sam knows first hand what he’s talking about. There’s a ten minute program, you don’t have to do more. -Feldenkrais or Alexander for guitar players is epic. I hope you check it out and do a video on how to find and maintain position playing guitar using one of these methods. It’s about allowing your body to move correctly, not forcing it. -Don’t lie. Not even “white” lies. You don’t have to share any uncensored thought, but telling the truth can take enormous stress off your shoulders and make you a better communicator. It’s also a time saver. Trying to keep untruths straight can be a nightmare. I don’t even think they’re kind to anyone. -I suspect the dog walking thing doesn’t work if you’re on your phone. -Why is the word “old” something to apologize for? It would be good if we could use it as a complement. Hey, I can dream! Thanks again, Justin. I’ve been a student of yours for 12 years. I so support your work and your values.

Well, Justin, despite being subscribed to your channel, I have a busy life and don't spend that much of it watching KZbin, and that means I miss a lot. Fortunately, I watched this video. As I think you'd agree, there are many hacks but fewer game changers. The game changer for me in this video was the Huberman Lab. Because I've only watched selected videos of yours from the very impressive archive as I've needed them, I've somehow missed it. After watching this video, I read a few summaries of what Huberman has done at Stanford and then looked at the podcasts and thought "oh my god." I know something about neuroplasticity from a book I'd read previously, but this is earth-shaking stuff. So thank you. It's a great thing you've done here, on top of all the other great things you've already done. Happy New Year!

11:40 Salvador Dali called the "power nap" a "slumber sleep key"He would sit with a key in one hand, poised above a metal plate placed on the floor, and let sleep take him. As soon as he began to slumber in earnest, the key would slip from his fingers and clang against the plate - waking him immediately. Dali felt as though sleep was a waste of time.

Thank you.I am with yo 100% on 9 of the 10. We will part on the topic of stoicism as a tool to being healthier Perhaps we can learn to sort out our priorities and pick our battles, yet we must have them We can keep them hold them in and let them turn to cancer or we can give them away to a god or the universe and we can play music and sing. Music is the opposite of stoicism. I see and feel it as a means to acknowledge and release the pain, complain about the corrupt authority....Music is in no way indifferent. JMTC
