Skelly is so worth it. I don’t remember him being hard to get though. Just normal adventuring will get all the parts and you just have to remember who his grandma is (you meet her at the start of the game).

To unlock Quan Chi in Mortal Kombat (2011), players had to complete Story Mode, which included a brutal final battle against an overpowered and highly armored Shao Kahn. If players wanted to unlock the Flesh Pits Mileena skin (who is barely dressed with bandages), players had to complete all 300 Challenge Tower missions, with the last one being an endurance match (with one lifebar) against Goro, Kintaro, Mileena, and Shao Kahn.

I mean, I'm older and still realize that I've been saying things in games wrong since childhood. Game Paladin's Quest. I called him Chenzi for my whole life. Just last year I finally realized the name is Chezni. That's just a funny example and I'm not even dyslexic. There have been quite a few others, like in MTG calling Ravnica "Ravincia" XD

To unlock Minion in Twisted Metal: Black, you had to beat the game with all characters, including the four characters you had to find and unlock in certain battleground locations. While the other characters had texts in English during the load screens prior to the next levels, players had to decipher Minion's text, which was with numbers that corresponded to letters of the alphabet (1=A, 2=B, etc.). In short, unlocking Minion and knowing his story required plenty of gameplay and decoding.

I don't think Gene is that rare, but is definitely pretty easy to overlook compared to most randomly generated encounters that try to kill you.

Getting the forgotten is nowhere near the hardest thing to do in Issac. You can’t even unlock one of the characters until after you do unlock him so you definitely haven’t done everything

I never realized Skelly was hard to unlock. I always used the guide and it pretty much just told you where to go and what to do. Yes it may have been cheating, but KZbin wasn’t around back then.

Mokap was easy to unlock, its just completing a combo tutorial with every fighter. They only challenging part is the absurd amount of onyx coins (rarest in game) required to buy Cyrax's chest

In regards to gene from fallout 4 I actually used to get him so often i never knew he was rare i think it really depends on how happy your settlements are because my luck stat is almost 0

MGS5 Raiden? the optional mission goals were so bugged out. after trailing a translator and listen to 3 interrogations you have to wait for half an hour while the npcs search and escort an escaped prisoner. 99% of the times that prisoner breaks down as soon as he arrives at the interrogation location, but just out of reach of the trigger, that triggers the interrogation. so you have to knock out 3 guards, put the prisoner in place and wait for them to search around untill they continue the interrogation. oh and this is just the one at the tip of my mind, there's been many more optional goals that broke easily.

There are far harder characters to unlock in the Tony hawk's pro skater games. Hell underground one has a large group of hidden characters that are only unlockable once you get every single gap in the game. And then you have American wasteland that has the Butterfinger winners as playable characters
