It looks like your Kazhan isn't fully seated in the sheath. The sheath is pretty tight from the factory and getting mine all the way in there was a bit difficult at first. The ricasso of the knife actually scraped a bit of the kydex away on the inside of the sheath. It has broken in nicely since then and it's not scraping anymore. All in all, im super happy with it.

Definitely want to see the camp fixies. Those were all cool knives but I’ve learned what works best for me is any knife under 4 inch blade, I’d rather carry a folder. I use to love small fixed blades but I feel the materials, lock strength and overall design has improved so much in the last few years that it’s just more convenient.

Cold steel folding knife are almost like carrying a fix blade
@Krusher_Knave2 жыл бұрын
I carry neck knives regularly. Mainly the BladeHQ Lionsteel M1 in M4 steel with an Armatus Carry Sheath, & the ferrum forge powered Damascus lackey, both of which I feel are an appropriate weight for neck carry. I used to neck carry my Bradford G3 but it starts to get to me really bad after I get home from work, so I switched it to waistband carry with the Spyderco g-clip. I would say the first knife is too heavy for neck carry. I would recommend waistband carry (which the Spyderco g-clip works without a belt) for that first knife. The g-clip & pull-the-dot straps with a belt are my two favorite methods for waist carry.
@Stassa232 жыл бұрын
I usually carry scout carry or clipped to my pocket now days because I can’t really handle anything around my neck ever since my accident. I’m thinking about picking up the M1 how do you like it compared to the Bradford G3?
@Krusher_Knave2 жыл бұрын
@@Stassa23 So I have short & stubby fingers. Think medium-small glove size. The M1 comfortably fits my hand. So does the G3. I think it's the perfect blade thickness for an EDC fixed blade. Has a beautiful sharpening choil/edge termination. Has a phenomenal edge profile. You can properly get work done with the back edge, the belly, & easily use the tip. The blade has a very subtle finger guard that's a little stubby but not sharp in any way. It's very functional & I love how efficient it is. The blade spine is rounded but has sharp flats for Ferro rod shenanigans. The M4 is not hard to sharpen at all. It feels like shaving ice away, but with a smoother material than ice. Weird analogy, I know. I think it will be slightly smaller than comfortable for your hands. Also worth mentioning - if you get an Armatus Sheath, the blade HQ exclusive micarta variants have the thickness of the regular G-10 M1s. There's an option on the Armatus site for micarta/G-10. I know this because I got the micarta sheath (which was way too tight) & they had to send me the G-10 sheath, which they did excellently. Also, the micarta may be a little aggressive towards your hands. I have sensitive hands too & these are not abrasive or harsh, persay, but they are not a soft texture. Not that I think micarta was meant to be. I usually prefer, carbon fiber, G-10, & metals. The G3 is a comfortable, casual size. But for someone who has to conceal carry at work because people cry about it, the M1 is compact while not sacrificing any of the versatility of a quality drop point & being coated (because I work out in the weather) & not having any flaws (other than not having handle scale options) in it's design. I would absolutely tell you to buy it & see how you like the fit in your hands. If this knife had twill carbon fiber handles, I would carry no other surface cutting knife around as my neck carry. I hate micarta & I carry this anyways. I think it's the best EDC primary carry fixed blade. And I say that as a Bradford fan. They are my favorite company, if I was to have one.

Can wholeheartedly recommend the Joker Avispa as a budget EDC fixed blade: Small full tang of 14c28n steel with a very compfortable 3 1/2 finger handle. Like the first knife you show it shouldn't be marketed as a neck knife (bit heavy for that), but it's great as a pocket fixed blade. Micarta version comes with kydex so you can attach an Ulticlip. And the best things: Made in Spain and here in Europe they go on sale for under 50 bucks.

@@Krusher_Knave It totally depends on your intended use, etc. A Mora Kansbol has really excellent ergonomics, but it's too big for a neck knife. Also a lot of the time, a knife is let down by a poorly thought out sheath, like for example with the Kizer Harpoon.

It's like the esee uzula with a better grind a g10 handle in kydex yet it was only $40. My other knife the pendleton mini in Aus10 is a great fishing knife and survival. Anyone of those 3 knives I would bet my life on. My training is very extensive in survival and knife fighting. I was a boyscout then army ranger I've trained over 10 years in Filipino martial arts. So I don't take my knives for granted. Survival knives are the knives you have when you need them. Most knives sold as survival stay home. Situations happen when you least expect. So learn how to use your pocket knife. It could save your life or more importantly the people you care most about. Very good selection but your videos are always good. I don't like expensive knives. Also I don't like extremely cheap either. I like $30-150 is my play field.
