Since the beginning of time, some popular sayings and superstitions are rooted in various cultures. Jamaica has a rich heritage in this area. This video will educate you about 10 popular Jamaican sayings/superstitions that exist. Yes I've heard all. Except I didn't knw after biting my fingers am to put them behind me. Well if you footbottom scratch u your going to walk on grave,never sweep out the dust in your house outside at night put it to the corner till daylight. Lamps or light must be in the house before 6 or else angels won't visit. There's alot more but thanks for the memories 😊blessings

Frankly, when my stepmother passed away I was not in Jamaica. I learnt about her passing from one of my sibling. When I returned to Jamaica, I visited her grave and to be honest, I loved my stepmother because she treated me as one of her children and been my dad's first child, I was spoiled. On leaving, I said, "Goodbye Miss G". My mother in law was a spiritual woman who and in midndle of night, she came out of her room, speaking in a language that I did not know and throwing water all over the floor. In the morning, I asked what happened. She said, a spirit came home with, not to harm me but was glad to see me. Do I believe. An emphatic YES. Since, I have had worst experience with spirit.

Appriecated this video, thank you. The hearing of dogs howling proven to be true, even living in UK it has been heard, I often wondered if cats howl too. Catty long wailing cries I have also heard. Entering home backwards for such reason is very factual: also not to say good night, when leaving a wake or desease home. Had firsthand experience of both. Visited the home of a desease relative: did not remember I should not say, "good night." Reaching certain distance when left the house, I decerned being followed, felt uncomfortable bodily, and from the inhalation of certain unusual scent. I phone a cousin told her the experience, she told me to do as said in this video, before entering my home. When did so the eerie feeling left my body. A relative went to a wake, was driven home by someone who also was there: after entering her home she looked out of her window to wave to the driver. She said when looked out of the window, she saw the spirit of the desease. I didn't doubt her after my own experience. The left hand itching I have heard as said, and the right giving. The same heard why sleeping naked is not a good thing to do.

I use to visits my mom sometimes at nights...and start calling her as soon as i enter the yard until she told me to call her on the phone wgen i'm coming because something is imitating my voice to call her...i was shocked.

I have heard of many of these superstitions, but I don't agree with some of them because, the state of sleep is the closest state to be in to the original state of the garden of Eden, creation and birth. I heard all these things and believed none of them because I always asked if they had any encounter with them and the most of the people said no! others lied! People believe in more evil than they believe in the Most High and his goodness! All these BS got people actually manifesting the evil in superstition than believing and trusting in the God them say them believe in. Then they teach this same FEAR to their children and the children believe in more evil than the little good we should multiply! Bunch of foolishness and duppie crockpot!
