Have recently reversed prediabetes by taking out carbs from my diet. My experience was, when I was eating carbs, that's what made me hungry. And fat. My weight didn't really come down until I was fat adapted although I didn't have much to lose (7 kg) as my condition was more stress induced than diet induced. My high blood glucose showed up as unexplained migraines. Getting rid of them was the greatest relief. I got my life back :)

This is all so true for me. I used to drink at least 30 Bud Lights a week. I’m not at all proud of that. I was usually only eating one meal a day, but it wasn’t good food. I’ve stopped all the alcohol and embraced Keto. Dr. Ekberg has taught me so much, and I’ve gone from 209 lbs to 193. My goal is 180. Then I’ll weigh what I did when I graduated. Granted I’ve lost muscle mass since I’m 67 years old. Last week I went 3 full consecutive days without eating anything. Just a lot of water and some coffee. I was never hungry during that time. Toward the end, I did start to think of food some, but I know I could have gone another day with relative ease. The only reason I stopped after 3 days was because I got a bit scared, because I was in new territory, so I ate low carb high fat and moderate protein. The next day I did my daily 3 mile walk, and I couldn’t believe the energy I had. It was incredible, I practically wanted to run, but kept it aerobic and finished by walking. I’m proud of the results, knowledge I didn’t have 6 weeks ago, and no more alcohol. I couldn’t have done it without Dr. Ekbergs’ expertise. Thanks Doctor👍👍👍👍👍

I’m trying to be patient & I know it’s gonna take time to undo the damage but for the first time in years I have hope. I just want to thank you for giving me the knowledge to heal myself naturally. I knew I was fat adapted because I had all the signs that I was but I thought the ketone strips would show that. You just teach on a level that pretty much anyone can understand. And now that I know "why" I should "eat this way" and "exercise" this way, it keeps me even more motivated to stay the course. To any new viewers out there who just started looking into fasting or intermittent fast and or/keto or just plain health advise? STOP. Look no further. Just watch his videos and learn. And you learn just as much just streaming the KZbin video on audio in your car or just working out or walking or drinking coffee. I have zero affiliation with Dr. Ekberg. I'm just a huge fan. I am having no problem sticking to this way of eating. To be fair, I am a fat lover now and don't consider this to be a "diet", simply my way of eating. It is quite amazing to me that, to my friends and family, although I am congratulated on achieving my new image, also the obvious changes in my health and wellbeing, that they still continue eating processed food and working out like crazy. Over the past 3 months, I’ve moved from eating typical junk diet to a part Keto diet, then after a few weeks a strict Keto diet, then for the last month OMAD + Keto. This has totally changed my life, and I will never eat sugar and carbs again. I’ve lost 40lbs, feel 20 years younger and can honestly say by every metric imaginable feel better than I have since I was in my teens. This will be my diet for the rest of my life. I would encourage anyone to try it and sure, it’s hard for the first 2 weeks weening the body from sugar and carbs, but once it adapts EVERYTHING on the Dr.’s list is absolutely true. Good luck

I had company last summer after being on keto for a while, we were out on our front porch after having been down by the river in our yard all morning. So far, we had only had coffee and around 1 pm my adult son came to me and said mom are we gonna eat some lunch, we haven’t eaten anything since dinner last night and I’m starving! I realized, I never thought about meals because I was only eating one meal a day for a while. I had to go and make lunch for everyone! Lol

Just started OMAD to lose some weight prior to a hiking vacation- doing 3 plus hours of aerobic exercise daily, so far only get craving to snack on nuts ( specifically) once a day- so a kind of fat craving. I'm relieved that I no longer have the insatiable recurring Carbo cravings after doing 1 year of mostly low carb/keto with occasional breaks during vacations & special events. The first 34 years I was healthy but the next 30 years were a downward spiral into carbohydrate/ sugar addiction of which I was completely unaware of the cause of my declining health. But after finding your videos I was able to become healthy again. I have forwarded your videos to several family members and friends. You are simply the best low carb/ keto/ IF health advisor on you tube. I did that ride several times in the past..40 out and 40 back. On the outward journey I was exhausted but no hunger. Had a handful of fries, some little meat and a less than a liter of low sugar drink at the end of the first leg. I completed the return leg without any exhaustion.

what frustrates me is how easily I can lose my fat adaptation and crave sugar and be always hungry the second I let myself go and indulge in sweets or carb heavy meals for one little day. It seems like it's a daily struggle that will never get easier with time. I never get fat but I certainly look and become heavier whenever I start eating carbs again. My skin gets acne (I am almost 30) and my eyes look old, dark, sunken. I look and feel so much better everytime I stop eating carbs and fast again, but I almost forget how they make me feel and look like, because I am surrounded with people who look and feel great even though they eat carbs like anybody else. Part of me always thinks "if they can, so can I" but no, sugar makes me more miserable than the average person. Also psychologically speaking. Anyway, You have, sir, the best youtube channel I know on nutrition. Seriously I never miss any of your videos! Thank you so much

I want to express my gratitude for Dr. Ekberg. I'm a former endurance athlete who considered himself an expert in nutrition, especially sports nutrition. Unfortunately, I have come to realize that I have to unlearn so much official and popular information. I competed at a time that high carb and low fat diet was supreme. One of my mentors was a world class athlete, coach and university trained nutritionist. When he died of a massive coronary at age fifty, it rattled the whole dogma. We are so misled by the industrial complex of health care, pharma, food manufacturers, FDA, AMA, and the big and powerful farm lobby! No wonder that there is so much confusion? Thanks for your effort in spreading the truth!

Thanks for this video because I'm happy to say, I meet some of the key critirea. 1.) Mental clarity 2.) Consistent Energy Level 3.) I don't crave any food or "fuel" at all first thing in the morning. I can wait until dinner to eat a solid meal. Keep in mind, the *biggest factor* is exercise. I've been a morning runner for 11 years and this entire time, I've been running fasted. I think this played an even bigger factor than my dietary habits (not Keto, or low fat, but relatively low carb).
