I would add the Tolsta Tee by Rebecca Clow (creabea designs) to this list! It's an awesome basic tee, size inclusive, and comes with so many modification ideas - for dk or fingering-weight, adding lace, texture, colourwork, etc.

Salty Air is lovely! I just cast on my first T, the Spring Sorrel from Wool and Pine and I’m in love with it so far. I also have yarn to cast on the Bird on a Wire Tee by Bristol Ivy as soon as my Sorrel is off the needles. I’m also eyeing the Este by Justyna Lorkowska!

Interesting to read what other people's tee choices are. The one I made last year was the Why Knot? by Rachel Illsley from her 'macrame' collection. I loved doing the texture though it was challenging. I made the Oakhaven Tee and have the Ridgeview Tee in my faves, both by Kerri Blumer.

My Boy Lollipop in DK is perfect for newer sweater knitters, really easy directions by Nancy Ricci and a quick knit. I am knitting the Poppy tee, simple and cute. Other favorites are the rock it Tee and the bird watcher. Salty air is in my queue.

At first glance, Lydia's patterns might seem expensive but most of them include additional instructions to add bust shaping depending on your cup size and sometimes hip shaping if it's a longer garment to achieve a better fit. When you consider the amount of work that goes into incorporating that into the pattern I think it's well worth it.

For basic t patterns...I love the Tolsta Tee by Rebecca Clough and I made a short sleeve version of Jessie Mae "Cozy Classic Lite" that really fits so well... Great video! Just a heads up that GBP doesn't stand for Great British pounds - it's just pounds, or the pound sterling 🙂
@KnittyNatty8 ай бұрын
Whatttt? Why is the GB there though? 😩 This is news to me. Thank you explaining!
@lucyinthesky94798 ай бұрын
@@KnittyNatty No worries at all, it is a bit confusing and strange! It's basically just to do with the currency code for the UK being GB. It totally makes sense to assume that is stands for great British pounds but, weirdly, it doesn't! Northern Ireland isn't part of Great Britain but uses the currency GBP/pounds sterling, which is maybe a helpful way to remember it... although I appreciate it's still confusing 🤣
