TheMainManRex look up dirt track racing, I assure you that you will see that technique used in that every single time, it is how dirt track racers actually drive around dirt ovals, doc in this case was a dirt track racer and used this technique a lot, this in his time would be the normal way of driving, when asphalt racing would soon come into play that technique isn't used anymore so that makes McQueen have an advantage with the knowledge of dirt track racing, it is the base root of any nascar oval racing and is the only way to go around it, this is coming from an experienced dirt track racer. Dirt track racing will always go right to go left, it is the way we run the circuit.

I realized one reason why Cars 3 is changing the formula. Lightning is a 1960's Ford GT40 or a early 2000's Ford GT, which is a older model sports car. Jackson is roughly a 2017 Chevrolet Camero, which would have better stats than a 60's or 00's stock car.
