I’m so used to seeing her with short hair. I didn’t recognize her in the beginning of the video. She is truly talented. I was so glad she wasn’t labeled as Just a dancer as she is multi-faceted.

Leslie and Cary were wonderful in Father Goose. One of my favorite films of the 60’s. Gary Grant is one of those guys that’s great in comedies along with dramas. Operation Petticoat was wonderful too.

Oh my God I am a huge fan of Leslie Caron. I viewed the film “Fanny” when I was a child and she had me at the first scene of the movie. Also my mother’s nick name was Fanny {from her real name Stephanie); but after that I have viewed just about every movie she was in but “Fanny”, “An American in Paris”, “Gigi” and “Paris is burning” remain very close to my heart. I was devastated when I missed her attendance at what was billed as the last Turner Movie Classic ocean cruise (circa 2019) because of physical Illness. But as I stated I remain a huge fan of hers.

She is a delight. But one incident...well...kind of kills it. I met Ms. Caron at a book shop in London when and where she was hyping her autobiography. We have mutual friends Hollywood ie Lillian Burns Sidney, Rupert Allan and others. I said I`d do an interview and asked for a copy of the book? Do youe want to BUY it? I said `No` as I will be reviewing it and also doing an interview. `No. Not if you are not going to buy it`, she said.

You are mispronouncing Caron, as Karen. If you can use the French pronunciation for Chocolate you aught to be able to pronounce Caron as Ker-Roan.

I'm 61 and I Remember a lot of these, back then it would take 6 to 10 years or more to get to our TV. I started with the first cheapest home computer a sinclair zx80, prior to that well working on a construction site, you think a cd or dvd drive was big, the old drives you literally could make a super sized pizza. The first one I came across (just changed from punch cards and to magnetic tape next gen was the floppy disk at 12 inches or 305mm for the modern day you really don't want to go further back) yep home PC's used a tape drive and I would think there are a lot of people that regret their words (most famous is Bill Gates and I'll be generous no computer would need more the 16 megabytes), youtube has the clip. I got my zx81 and for $300 sent it to England for a 1 megabyte upgrade my next one was a Amiga, that started with a tape drive but more ram and more powerful processor. Adding a disk drive, needed a special card and to scare a few of those that weren't around paid $100 per meg of storage. Oh did I forget you had to programme every app or program you wanted to run and remember to save it(this is where hackers started because you had to code your own programmes you needed that was not available. Sigh good old days now you can get a couple of tig for what I paid for 1 meg. It's been so awesome living through ,the changes and I know the younger one's will have a way stepper learning curve,I gave up my programming once it passed 32 bits. Want some history just go back in time, what we have achieved is unreal (good game though pity my reflexes only allow me to watch others). I might not be able to afford or keep up but there are those on youtube that can. I class my first robot was my 3D printer and built from scratch is my pride and joy, getting older than I am (the way of computers) it's still going strong and it's custom at 200mm x 400mm x 185mm, I'll let you guess which axis is which. For those that want to do a ground up build (like I did for my 3D printer and CNC) make whatever build area square it simplifies so many things (because I needed to print oversized things I did the 400mm big mistake most software your holes are going to be oval and that is .0001 difference that increases the longer the rectangle unless you are really (and I do mean really) good at your maths (sorry I'm a bit older than I can cope with it hmm maybe I should borrow the kid next door as he has a way better grasp on things). Love my setup but unless I do CNC I have to say square is the best option. So my new printer build (and if you managed to get this far, you've found how stubborn I am, no not ready to give up) is going to be a coreXY, why because it is stable and will allow higher print speeds. Got most of the parts but need someone to either show me or weld the main sections together. I only want a modest build 400 X 400 X400 and maybe the odd cnc work, that's for another time. Thanks for putting up with an old man's rambling I'm not dead yet and what I see is fascinating, well till they seen me to a home and that I will fight, I still want to explore and won't go easy (I'm sure I mentioned stubborn somewhere :-) Sorry guys n girls did to many essay's in school. Take care look after yourself and yours and I'll do the same as best as I can. CHEERS.

@@Stevefor1776 funni-er, everyone's on the bandwagon. America isn't always right...for 2 years 1967-1968 in private school we were required French and our French teacher pronounced it the way I did.It was just kind of a passing phrase like she was just immersed in describing Paris a place of romance and (when we're that young we're not that interested), or the funny language. Maybe I should've just let it go...may she rest! Au revoir Mecier!
