During Smallville's run, the show's creators pitched a similar show about a young Bruce during his pre-Batman days but DC execs at the time feared that such a show would've hurt the success of Nolan's film series and instead vetoed the show going forward. The Smallville showrunners and producers instead settled for a "replacement" character and used her in an episode of the show during the time Clark was working in Metropolis in it.

Heres a fact people often dont notice, many of the plots revolve around the pain and suffering that befalls children with many of the episodes focusing on the negative repercussions of: Neglectful parenting, forcing over achieving onto ones kids, abusive parenting, inattentive parenting, drug use, bullying, Runaways, peer pressure, parental fear mongering, and the list goes on, next time you watch the show, pay closer attention to how much the plots focus on miserable situations of kids both young and older, you'll be surprised.

Of All the cartoon series, 90's Batman and Batman beyond were my absolute favourites. I was a teenager when Batman Beyond came out, and it was very profound. Sadly, when I was 19, I began working so I missed some of the later episodes. A few years ago, I binge-watched the entire Series to catch up on what I missed. This series was truly ahead of it's time, and it holds up very well. Will still hold up in the future, even when real life reaches the same year as in the series.

Something I noticed while going back to watch the series, because it's just that good, is that one of the episodes actually parallels an important piece the history of the Batman. In the episode Sentries of the Last Cosmos, we see a case that eerily parallels what happened with Bob Kane and Bill Finger, keep in mind the credits for the show still solely credit Kane as the creator of Batman, which probably means someone in the writing team was aware of the controversy being stirred up regarding Batman's origins in the real-world at the time. It's a bit hard to spot due to the fact everything revolves around VR videogame that is more of a lawyer friendly cameo of the Star Wars franchise than something a bit closer to what most folks would identify as being Batman. Now, Bill Finger and Bob Kane get their names on Batman in the credits, but that wasn't always the case and prior Batman series show this in the credits. But to think, an episode of Batman Beyond, the sequel series to Batman the Animated series, actually had an episode that had more than enough narrative beats to parallel what happened regarding the original Batman creators with the comics is actually pretty impressive and speaks to just how amazing the writers for the show really were.

I liked Batman Beyond because it was a great use of legacy. Batman does not have to be Bruce Wayne, but he had to be part of the mythos. And Return of the Joker was a proper note for Terry as it showed you don't have to be Bruce's Batman to be an effective Batman. "Wait, I like to talk." The moment he changed gears Terry was winning.

This video starts with a basic explanation of what Batman Beyond is just to make sure that people who have no idea what it is understand the plot and characters. Seems like a video for someone who hasn’t really watched the show right? Then the video ends with complete spoilers of what happens in epilogue, ruining pretty much the whole payoff of watching the DCAU shows. Great job guys

Batman beyond one of the most popular and underrated batman character in universe debuted in mid 90s to early 2000s,I'd like batman beyond cartoon tv shows and it was very ultra dark with violent story of the characters these batman beyond much darker than the original batman aka Bruce Wayne.These one is a young errand teenager high-school student in age 16 from the distant future such like 2044 or 2056 era period,much similar like spider-man.Most of all the batman beyond drawing graphic influences of Japanese manga comic style like akira,appleseed,ghost in the shell,bumblegum crisis and more than that.
