Also, after Bruce's broken back at the hands of Bane was miraculously healed by his psychic girlfriend (no, I"m not joking), he went to train with Shiva to refresh his fighting skills before becoming Batman again. Shiva refused to train him at first, and even after he persuaded her she refused to teach him anything more than the basics until Bruce was able to beat her in unarmed combat at least once - which he did. Then she finally agreed to teach him moves that could immediately kill people, which Bruce of course was unwilling to learn. That REALLY pissed her off.

Honestly whenever Batman “beats” Superman, Clark is always holding back or the circumstances are stacking in Batman’s favor. Their most famous fight was in The Dark Knight Returns, Superman is trying to convince Batman not to fight, constantly holding back, and Batman “wins” by having Green Arrow hit Superman with a kryptonite arrow. Even so, Batman has to fake a heart attack to stop the fight before Clark and recuperate from the kyptonite. Also in Hush where Batman uses the kyptonite wing mentioned in the video, Superman is being controlled by poison ivy but he is fighting the mind control. Despite the kyptonite ring Batman says “If Clark wanted to, he could use his superspeed and squish me i to the cement”.

This whole situation could be solved literally if Toolman would just told Bruce that Lex Luther kidnapped a woman and threat him to kill her. He already did know who Batman was! Hell, Bruce should find that himself as a detective (though in this movie he is serial killer what actually should be arrested by Superman and not framed by Luthor). Literally everyone expected either Bizarro or Metallo, or them already secretly working together to take down Luthor, but nop! What make The Dark Knight Return good is that Earth-31 Superman sold his soul to government, who ordered him to arrest Batman (which objectively is crazy) what he is reluctant to do. But Batman chose to fight and show his machismo to Superman. On top on that despite what hipsters claim Batman lost that battle for obvious reason. He win in a sense that by staging his own death he guilted Superman convincing him to be independent. But Snyder completely not understand those characters and make them dumb (or literally everyone dumb). People give credit to him in MoS as Klark was then inexperienced (and for clarity Superman do kill if he has no other option, so those complains were stupid), though movie suffer on other issues like nonsensical death of Jonathan Kent and Randian bullshit.

There is no reason not to count Batman's defeat of Prometheus as legitimate. For one thing, Batman is famous for being pragmatic in his fighting so long as he does not actually kill. But for another, Prometheus's fighting abilities are not skills he worked for, but the result of his helmet's technology. Therefore, hacking the helmet is a completely fair tactic. Saying otherwise is like saying that the only legitimate way to defeat superman is to outmuscle him. (And I don't even LIKE Batman being portrayed as the ultimate badass.) Tldr: Ain't no rules in a knife fight.

One of the most impressive things Sid the Squid was able to do was to get HARLEY QUINN to cry over Batman's "death!" (Sure, Harley is naturally a crier, but still - BATMAN.) And while the Joker didn't cry, he certainly came close at Batman's "funeral" (before he got hungry for some Chinese food).

I don't agree with the list, respectfully. Shiva was beaten in Public Enemies (and no, mind control didn't diminish her abilities). Prometheus was beaten fair and square and he was the first one to cheat by resorting to weapons, but hand to hand Batman was winning the rematch. Onomatopoeia was beaten even more than once in Kevin Smith's stories. And I recall Batman beating Bizarro in Forever Evil, but surely decisively impairing him in the "Trinity" origin story, pre-52 (before losing the next battle and surviving only thanks to Diana)

I'm pretty sure he's beaten Lady Shiva before in Death in the Family, and he did take Sid to jail. I'd count the league beating Krona with him as a member too, since he's part of 'the Trinity' vital to restoring Earth and such. All of it's really debatable, but Onomatopoeia ironically only gets away with 'beating' Bats because he's what bad writers make Batman; a Gary Stu.

An an honorable mention, there was that time when Batman bit the Riddler without solving his riddle, making the Riddler claim victory. That was in the 1990s comic book adaptation of "Batman the Animated Series". Honorable mention since Batman did physically defeat the Riddler and his goons.
