I was hoping it was going to be the atc250es that was getting a cover. To fill in deep gouges, I use small pieces of blanket material and duct tape or wrap the seat with shrink wrap to hold it in place. In cooler temps, put the cover on the dashboard facing the sun, and if it seems loose because the foam has shrunk, cover the entire seat with thin blanket material, trim it, tape it to the base, and then cover the seat. Save old brittle seat covers to cut sections for covering patched areas to smooth out high and low spots. I do most of mine on the tailgate or a piece of cardboard on the bench. Hand operated staplers are my favorite and 5/16 and 3/8 staples are the way to go. Too long might pierce the cover from the bottom, and too short might not go in deep enough or even fold over if the plastic base is brittle. Sometimes I leave the base facing up in the sun just to soften it up a bit, especially black plastic bases. I'm just saying!

@@Mrcbuilds Was that brown cover factory, I've seen them before? Thanks.

@@atvseatexchange2176 no sir, it was a very well made replacement cover. It could have been a saddlemans, but it did not have a tag. The OE colors were black, grey and charcoal.

@@Mrcbuilds I like Saddlemans with the thin layer of foam attached to the inside of the cover.

A pneumatic stapler is the best tool for those cover. Be sure and heat it up before you attach it. Good luck

My 200s parts list has come down to a minimum. The seat cover, seat foam,fenders ,decals and triple tree paint are for the most part all that's missing. Any advice on where to find already cut foam. Thanks for the vids.

Hi clifton, highflight seats, cosmic qauds and ceet seats or atc heaven. Check with them. If you want to keep it local, you may find a auto/boat upholstery shop that can do it for you.

What do you use for a filler if needed? Always took mine to a guy 5 min from my house but he recently passed. Every time was $40. Hard to beat.
@Mrcbuilds Жыл бұрын
Hey Andy best filler is from anther atv seat. Most foams like Chair or couch cushions are too soft

Would an electric stapler gun be adequate for the task? I do not have an air compressor so getting an electric staple gun seems like a sensible choice.
@Mrcbuilds8 ай бұрын
Hey bunny, i have used an electric before on other jobs, i think it will work just fine, you may have to hammer them in that last little bit.
