Hands down best project ever. Your boat turned into an heirloom piece. Making something by hand that leads to many years of use and enjoyment is what makes woodworking important. Thank you for your energy and inspiration. Blessings. Shout out from Brooklyn.

I watched all 5 videos and appreciated all the work, time and craftsmanship that went into the "SHORT" build. Then to HONOR the previous generation at the end with your grandmother's name....Absolutely Amazing. The 10 minute version made me realize, this was a really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, "LONG" build.

Enjoyed the boat build series! As a fellow professional cabinet and furniture builder, I'm inspired to build my own boat. I don't have access to a cnc to cut the tear drops, so I'm going to make a template and do it myself with the router. Can't wait to go fishing.

A beautiful river boat. Awesome design. Color just pops. Extras for comfort. Real oar locks for feathering. You need one in back to scull with on slow water. Let's us know in the future how the fishing is. Hope your son catches a wall hanger.

This boat build brought back memories as a kid with dad in garage building Willamette River salmon boats an this drift boat for Clackamas River steelhead! I was one holding end of all the boards while he glued clamped an screwed! Dad made me laugh, when he built a boat for pair ash ores I bought him on Friday Harbor marina while I was on scuba trip. We had some great times in that boat too!

Loved the build series My twin brother and I got the pdf plans and got to visit. The man's personal home and did walk thrue. Walk around. His boats. Was very inspiring to see the drift boat in person. Before building.

I remember when i bought and used my first Japanese saw, what an eye opener. I couldn't believe how good it was, how easy it was to get a perfect cut and the thinness of the kerf is incredible. If I meet someone who hasn't used one I'm like a salesman. I remember dragging in an old fella in his 90s who lived near me as he was walking past, to show him the saw in action. The look on his face as I cut through some top quality 4mm marine ply I'll never forget, he was real impressed. He had a go and loved it, he loved it that much that other neighbors started asking to have a look it. I could've sold heaps just in my local hood

Being an adult and not a preschooler, my attention span is greater than 10 minutes. Therefore, I really enjoyed the full length vids. Course, the price of lumber these days puts just about anything out of reach. Been sitting here looking at the trees I need to cut wondering if I can mill the lumber. How about a video about milling small wood..6-8 inches around with wood working tools?

@MrMd55553 жыл бұрын
Apparently If you smoke a Marlboro red while cutting/ sanding/ routing, the smoke deters all the dust in the opposite direction which nullifies any need for a dust mask.

When I was a teenager, my father and I were butting heads over things that, looking back, didn't matter. We decided to build a drift boat together. No idea what we were doing, other than my father could build anything from plans in his head. The plywood was WAY too thick and it was too shallow to sit and row comfortably. And it ended up weighing about 300 lbs ! It took a few trips down stream in the river here, but someone suggested he sell it. Some guy with $100 was very happy even after we explained what was wrong with it. It served its purpose. It brought my father and I together.
