literally answered the question i had in my head, seeing all these aircraft taking off and landing at the same airport seemed weird, a small aircraft is understandable but seing commercial airliners i assumed the pilots are just bored

Hi captain, just a quick question. Where can I find if a SID is a noise abaitment SID or not? I do own the Navigraph charts but I just don't know where to see if it's an NADP SID or not... Thanks in advance.

NADP is noted under DEP on airport charts. It will either describe the procedure or list which it is (1 or 2). I’m not sure how navigraph works but in my company, this is how it’s listed. If no procedure is noted, assume to be NADP 2 - at 1000’, accel to flaps up speed and retract flaps on schedule until passing 3000’ then accelerate accordingly. Also, the departure chart may list any specific noise abatement procedures for the specific departure. Hope this helps

Can you have Rout 1 and Routh 2 set up identically and switch between the two when departing to get back on the SID?

Have you done a tutorial video explaining IAN and how/when to use it? I know basically it’s to make an RNAV approach look like an ILS for simplicity but I’m guessing it cannot be used on RNP(AR) approaches and needs to be for straight lines. And have you done one for an RNP(AR) approach like Madeira or Salzburg?

Great Vid as usual Cap.. Did u leave the Trim Air off for a reason or was that just a overlook on your part ? Ok. I asked that because I saw it was off when you looked at the overhead panel after takeoff. When you panned up their on landing the Trim Air was on. LOL. This is why I edited my statement. Hi Mr. Jones, the tutorial had to be recorded over two parts as I had audio issues in the sim downwind on the first recording. I had to reset the sim and reconfigure the aircraft exactly the same way (time/fuel/everything!) and resume recording downwind. Looks like I forgot to select trim air on one of the recordings (to answer your question on it stays on throughout the duration of the flight). FD2S

Make sure that door is opened, then activate the airstairs from the Avitab.

you need to enable them on the tablet under Settings and Features / Display and Variants / Exterior, Airstairs is the second one down, you also need to open the FWD Entry door before you click on Airstairs on the Ground Services page or they won't unfold

Hi Rory, I hope you're well. Yes, the captain was putting in the assumed temperature for the takeoff engine derate.

Hi Rory! You did indeed hear me say 59 degrees Celsius, this is called the assumed thrust temperature. The engines on the 737 are flat rated at 30 degrees celcius, this means they will give full thrust whenever the temperature is below this. When the temperature is above 30 degrees celcius the engines will produce less thrust as the air is less dense. Full thrust is not often needed for take off so one way of reducing thrust is by telling the engines via the FMC that the OAT is much higher than the ambient conditions. By telling the engines the temperature is 59 degrees Celsius the engine will give us rated thrust for that temperature. Hope this helps!
