I was apart of the first class when they opened the school. Great school, instructors, and company. I was there for four years. Still driving six years later.

My dad was a truck driver just shy of 11 years. He's had a heart attack and died this last july. I have much respect for truckers.

Debbie was a Good examiner, I am very much gratefull to You Debbie for teaching me a few things including: Remember the "International back up communication sign" Two horn blasts and then turn on the 4 way flashers. It was nice to see You people once again over the 'net. Curtis is the best Trainer. TTYL.

I was there in April for refresher. Tami is now in the office in charge if assigning trainees to trainers. George is still head instructor. very different from video and have moved to a new school next to the KLLM yard. I liked because it not a CDL mill if you have issue that will prevent you from being safe like mental problems or Language problems the will send you home.

In the state of Texas it is not required to honk your horn (its not in the manual) so they didnt fail. This school is in Fort Worth and they train you to only drive in this state since you will be a company driver. I know this because I start on monday with FFE.

The driving academy is the reason that 300 drivers got their trucks sold to Celadon a few years ago and had to either go to work for Celadon or find another job.

Hi everyone. I was looking into the trucking industry. I have a CDL class A, I got the license about 8 years ago at a company where we drove a class A vehicle on occasion & class B regularly. I am comfortable in a class B vehicle and can drive a class A vehicle. Problem is, I have not drove in around 8 years and also I've never actually drove a big rig. I am wondering how I'd go about getting the big rig experience with out having to go through all the licensing training being I have the license? I also do have some experience maybe not on the big cross country rigs but on smaller trucks, I am familiar with air brakes as well. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

@ptrhip LOL ok. I'll bet you my left nut that it was a dude fresh out of school. I'm not saying there's anything WRONG with it - safety's always a good thing - I'm just saying if you observe a truckstop, you will have to wait DAYS, probably MONTHS, before you see someone doing a pre-trip!
