The Entity in Dead By Daylight is even worse than you think... It doesn't just love violence, it actively feeds off their fear, pain, rage, and hope. When the time comes that killers and survivors are reduced to hollowed out shells with no emotions left for it to feed on, it still doesn't let them die. Instead it discards them in the Void, not dead but not quite alive, and leaves them there for the rest of eternity. Only one person, who became the killer called the Blight, has ever escaped the Void

If the entity does that then why is the Dreadg not discarded they are not necessarily feeling emotions they are just doing what they do because they exist to do that because of what happened in the garden of joy.

(spoiler warning) For me Mono's fate in Little Nightmares 2 is one of the most tragic I have ever seen in a video game. Trapped in a seemingly endless loop of finding a companion in a hostile world only for them to betray and abandon him, leaving him to grow up to become bitter. He tries to separate his past self from Six to prevent the loop from repeating which results in Mono attacking and killing his future self in an attempt to rescue his friend who then betrays him, restarting the cycle over and over again.

For Scorn with the place it rotted you odds are that parasite is going to try and nab anyone who passes by from then on out. And in SOMA in the final part the main character undergoes one more brain scan to put his mind on board a sort of ARK that has other scans on it. He assumed he was going to go on board but it was explained to him a few times that a copy of him was going, and he got pissed off that he was still in the robot body.

There is nothing more terrifying than your consciousness being trapped in a undying robot body alone on the ocean floor of a dying planet. Knowing the transfer process that should of sent u to a simulated paradise only copied another version of u to enjoy it while u got stuck makes it even worse. Soma wins hands down.

He is also the only sim left to be self aware that he is a copy in a robot. All the others we have met somehow didn't realise what had happened to them.

Ugh, Brood Mother would be a truly horrific fate. Or any Grey Warden that doesn’t get taken out quickly enough once they hear the call. But Thedas overall is a more typical fantasy setting. No easy living there, but you could live a full life if you avoided times of Blight or war

YOu know, after watching this video, i went and check all videos from WhatCulture about fate worse than death... Even though there is like 5 or 6 variants, none of then talked about the worst fate in a videogame that I've ever seen: Hecatombes in GoW: Ascencion... Can you imagine having your living body be in shackles and carved just to be used as a prison, with living things walking in and out of you? Even worst, once one guy tried to escape, inflicting a lot of pain to you, even though you have nothing to do with it. and the cherry on top of that crapy sunday is that a lot of times your limbs get invaded by some nasty boot flies that - presumably - eat your flesh, mutate that part of your body and causes even more pain, trying to stop the prisoner and getting yourself hurt in the process...

On DBD you could have added it tortured the Killers into serving it. Some did willingly others were tortured to insanity where they lost all semblance of themselves just to kill people they don't want to. Trapper is a good read on that

I'm surprised this list doesn't include the main character's girlfruend from Prey - she gets fused at the waist to a monstrous alien, and then there is a boss fight where she/the alien attacks and the main character must kill her in order to survive. She screams in pain throughout the fight.

btw, about DDLC, Monika, she is such a sentient being in a dating sim game, she apparently knows when someone is streaming (via something like OBS) the game she's in, as, according to what I've seen online, she has abit of dialog that supposedly only triggers when the game detects you using something to share gameplay of that game online. Which then she creates a scary effect for the viewers, before canceling it. I cannot confirm if this is true or is a hoax, as I don't play horror games, nor dating sims, so DDLC isn't for me, so, I cannot test it myself. I'm not even a streamer, so I don't have OBS or something similar

Elizabeth becoming Circus Baby wasn’t her fault, as her father, William, TOLD her to not get near Circus Baby but Circus Baby did what she was programmed to do around children all alone.
