Spencer said in a post game interview or on a podcast later that he solved that specific puzzle in just 15 seconds because he had studied prior to returning to Survivor. It was one of three puzzle options (they varied by piece numbers and difficulty, with the 5 piece puzzle said to be the most difficult) in a tribe challenge from the last season (that aired before they filmed), but that specific puzzle wasn't chosen by any tribe, likely do to it's designation as being the hardest to solve. Spencer said he was convinced they'd incorporate it into this season so he made sure to study it. Spencer's super fan status remains intact!

Nice video talking about some of Survivors great puzzles. You got to love how they keep doing new and complicated puzzles which helps to keep the challenges entertaining. From logo puzzles, to 5 piece puzzles, to word puzzles, to statue puzzles to tower puzzles or should I say Michele’s tower! I have always loved the stairs puzzle! It is both physically and mentally demanding! Two more great ones not mentioned are the huge square that the players have to go out into the field and get the pieces blindfolded are great like in Second Chance and the big block puzzles that the players have to run out and get and put it together to make a stairway that has the logo or the theme on it like in Heroes vs Villains. I love those two! Great video man!

One of my favorite puzzles is the one from the first reward challenge of HvHvH. The one with all the survivor locations. I loved how different it was from all the other puzzles, and the fact that each location was a survivor season.

One of my favorite puzzles I remember seeing on One World. It's called Odd Shaped Bottoms from episode 8. Players have to match the ... odd shaped bottoms... to the planted pieces in the square to create a flat surfaced top. Players can get all the way to the very end but the last puzzle won't be flush and they'll have to figure out where they went wrong. Definitely one puzzle I wish we would see more often.

Spencer memorized the puzzle from 2 seasons previous. It was one of three options during an early challenge in Season 30, Worlds Apart. Neither blue, white or Joe-collar tribes chose it but the solution was shown to the audience. Like a great football coach Spence watched the tapes. 🧩

Ik this puzzle isn’t like special but I really enjoyed watching it Spoiler Warning At the final 7 of Survivor Vanuatu, Episode 11, the puzzle where the castaways have their loved ones help them really stands out in my brain. The puzzle is clean and has an interesting shape they have to work with but also the story that this challenge started where Amy felt bad for Chris because his wife thinks she was the reason he went home was also touching and important. This is where the tides switched and LeAnn who was just playing around and laughing at the challenge got voted out. I really just vividly remember this one puzzle and I think I’d enjoy trying to solve it alongside one of my loved ones
