Kim Spradlin is one of the most impressive and well-balanced Survivor winners to ever play. Not only was she a challenge beast, her social game was incredible, and everyone trusted her. She was like the prom queen, cheerleading captain, and valedictorian competing against a bunch of outcasts. She also made it fairly deep into Winners at War, given how impressive her first win was! Nice video, I really like how you were able to walk through the different challenges and show clips from them. Another aspect of the challenge beast is who did they have to beat? For example, it's not like Yul was a weak competitor, but Ozzy was just that dominant. But Bob from Survivor Gabon, although not a challenge beast by your definition, was considered to be a challenge threat by the other outcasts from that season. That's because pretty much all the Gabon competition was weak by the time the tribes had merged, or at least for the majority of the merge. (I only brought up Gabon because I just finished watching it and it's fresh in my mind)

Not because she was the first, but because in that season, most everyone had a moral compass and felt bad about voting others out. To this day, I think her story is the most impressive. A young person trying to find her way through the game, struggling with light and darkness, salvation and redemption. Yes, Mike Holloway and Terry Dietz needed immunity, but they were not disliked. If you think about it, Kelly was the best player in season won, but she did not win. A challenge beast, with a great social game. I wish they make a season of players with the most challenge wins and call it "Survisor : Challenge Beasts Brawl" and they make the challenges a lot more difficult. And every loss would cost more like a penalty , and not just voting someone out (Ex. losers go to exile Island, less food and water, disadvantage in challenges, etc) That way, the games shifts from a highly social game to doing what it takes to make sure your tribe wins (Keeping the strongest players). You get the best of the best during merge and oh boy, those battle scenes would be epic. If Jeff Probst reads this, Ive got more ideas. haha

The focus was more on Steph that season due to her popularity, but her decisions were horrible for her social game (on top of her terrible ftc performance), and only made sense for Rafe. That's why the more I rewatch this season, the more it seems like Rafe was the one truly in control. (also, he's the first challenge beast to not make the ftc, not Terry)

Rafe played damn near a perfect game. He was behind all the eliminations, yet he made it seem like Stephanie was the mastermind and let her ruin her own chance at winning.

@@Ori_Kohav Watching Guatemala, I think Rafe made only one mistake and that was voting Lydia out at 4 instead of Danni. In his defense it was a good read that backfired spectacularly. To explain, Rafe knew the final immunity challenge was usually an endurance challenge of some kind and he and Stephanie thought a sick and weakened Danni was an easier beat in that type of challenge than Lydia. Unfortunately for him Danni won and he became the final member of the jury.

My favorite challenge beasts that I can remember before watching the video have to be Fabio because it was desperation mode for him, Mike just because I liked watching him play, and Chrissy because I thought she personally got robbed from the win due to the fire making twist.

Hmm…I understand the comparison to modern seasons challenges as they have really upped the ante. However, if you’re a challenge beast in your season, there’s a lot to respect about that. Colby, in particular, was so dominant that you could say if Colby time traveled from season 2 to, let just say, 17 (Gabon), he would very likely dominate that season too.

Kim for the woman and no brainer the legendary Ozzy for the man... I remember in the marooning of Game Changers.. They had to release the tool kits from the bottom of the ocean and JT said Ozzy got to go... When the other tribe had no interest to even try to collect their tool kits because they knew nobody can beat Ozzy in the water.. Even Malcolm said Ozzy is here so there is no point ...that speaks volume on how famous Ozzy in the water..

there’s a similar concept I’ve seen people talk about , a survivor based survivor season for their 50th season . where it’s outwit outplay outlast. outwit being players who are very strategic and have great social games , players like parvati, tony, and cirie. outplay meaning the challenge beasts , players like malcolm, joe, and kim . and outlast being just runner ups and winners like amanda, brad culpepper, and tyson.

Just saying, Jeff definetly was very eager to stop Rob from getting 'tricked' in Marquesas. He stopped Rob from making a deal, and was like "Ah! Amber you're out!" usually isn't that on point and that excited to see someone go out, he's usually pretty casual about it, unless he's doing his "And *name* wins the challenge!" I think by that point Jeff had come to have his man crush on Rob.
