Round 3 was by far Nate’s best round and coming from that insane headkick that Nate *LEANED INTO* minutes within the fight, he had *A LOT* of ground to make up. This is textbook Diaz and Jorge was absolutely gassing out. Anybody not fresh on that fight, rewatch it. We as mma fans deserved that 4th round and we and Nate were robbed. This is gonna be controversial but I feel like I have to say it: Peña rightfully won against Pennington. It all came down to the 1st round. It was a slow round but Peña did outstrike Pennington if you saw the numbers of the 1st round. It was still close but Peña edged it for me too when I watched it. Then the next 4 rounds were all definitive for both ladies. I can see why people thought Pennington won and I also could’ve seen it going to her because it was a close fight, but it wasn’t a “robbery”. I think people are only saying that because they hate Peña (which is understandable lol). I also understand her not calling out Kayla Harrison because, let’s be honest, she did not look impressive at all against Ketlen Veira. But Peña should’ve capitalized on that and used the mic to build their inevitable fight instead of calling out Amanda. That makes you look desperate plus it ain’t likely to happen. But at this point idk because Amanda did recently put up a post that teased her possibly coming back out of retirement. So she might either jump over Kayla to fight Peña or she’ll fight Kayla first and then Peña.
