I heard a great story of an Aussie bloke going to the states for hunting. Within the first day he said he seen 14 snakes, mostly being rattle snakes. I've been up north down south and I live in the hills now in Australia. I reckon I've seen 3 snakes over the last 10 years. See spiders every other day and they don't bother you unless you go looking for them. Good little video mate. But if you get a chance come down under it's beautiful.

there are some things you learn as a child, when bush walking all ways walk on the path, make noise and carry a walking stick too shoe off snakes, stamp on your shoes before putting them on, check the toilet before sitting down. spiders are every where even in the middle of the city and dont be surprised if you see snakes in the city too, there are lots of areas in the city for snakes too live, we have lots of wooded (trees) areas. also be careful not only of the drop bear but of drop spiders (spiders that like to spin webs in areas that humans like to walk) this is usually done overnight

My dad was bitten by an Eastern Brown but it didn’t envenomate thank goodness. Other than that, you’ll likely see spiders wherever you go here, but most are either harmless, or if you leave them alone, they’ll (probably) leave you alone too. We just have a lot of them. Snakes … can depend on where you are. I’m in Melbourne and I’ve encountered a few while bushwalking or camping, but only ever a handful of times at home (never inside). But some places up north they’re more prevalent. Same thing though. Don’t agitate or threaten them and you’ll be fine. If it needs to be removed, there are plenty of services available to help with that. The only time I’ve ever seen crocs is with a solid barrier between us. My folks saw heaps though in their last holiday up further north, which makes sense as the salties prefer the warmer climates.

I don't know why but is a European wasp not a bee and guess what they have them in bloody Europe as well. Ours are more aggressive though because the heat really makes them grumpy. They have stingers they can sting you as many times as they want unlike a bee
@MillicentNankivelldotcom

Yes! I picked that up too. We do have an issue with European Honey Bees in that they’re an invasive species and destroying habitats for native bees, but the danger to us is the wasps.

Nah! The chances of seeing a snake is so slim. Funnel Web spiders or mostly around Sydney but again I've never seen one when I lived there. Crocks well you have to be on the northern part of Australia to see them. The most dangerous thing really in Australia Tourists who thing they can drive. As we drive on the correct side of the road, (lets face it you don't read a book fright the right side do you and you mount a horse on the left side so why drive on the right?) America and European drivers tend to forget and they end up having a head on crash with Aussie drivers.

did you know that daddy long legs are one of the poisonous spiders on the planet but yet cant hurt us cause the claws or the stinger aint strong enough to penetrate our skin!!!!!!!

Yeah that's a complete myth, their venom is barely enough to kill a fly, plus their fangs can absolutely puncture skin.. Also poison comes from plants and venom comes from animals/insects.

Snakes aren’t literally everywhere you go, and it depends on where you live, but they’re certainly common enough that you’ll probably encounter them eventually if you live here long enough. My mother caught an eastern brown snake in our neighbourhood when I was around 12. Then we stuffed it in a large orange juice container and set it free. Our Labrador was also killed by a red bellied black snake I believe (or a tiger snake?) Anyways. It isn’t anywhere near as dangerous as it sounds, but they’re out there.

the info about the Taipan is wrong, she says that the Taipan is the worlds 3 most venomous snake. The Taipan is number 1the brown is number 2 3 and 4 are sea snakes and number 5 is the Taiwanese krait. So Australia no longer has the 10 most venomous land snakes

Most deadly snake in the world is known as the 'Fierce snake', not sure if it's a taipan like they said, but it's the one that lives deep in the desert here in Australia.

alot of these reaction videos are only reporting the deaths, they dont tell you how many bites and stings happen each year, most of the people that get bitten or stung will have life long injuries because of this, they also dont say how many people where in hospital or even a coma for. heres a tip with todays technology if you get bitten or stung take a selfie better just a picture with your phone before going to hospital so they can identify what got you and administer the proper anti venom, if they have it even better identify before hand and ring ahead so they can get it ready to be administered just after arrival

why would they call an aussie snake a taipan it sounds like a name youd call a snake in an asian country!!!!!
@marcusfox2443
@marcusfox2443 3 жыл бұрын
The common name, taipan, was coined by anthropologist Donald Thomson after the word used by the Wik-Mungkan Aboriginal people of central Cape York Peninsula, Queensland, Australia.
