I can't believe Jang Jongxin wasn't on this list, he is a Chinese doctor who used electroshock therapy on children as a cure for internet addiction. He didn't use any anesthetics and the children later said that it was practically torture. The worst thing is that he is still going, while electroshock therapy was eventually prohibited by the Chinese government, he came up with a new method called low pulse therapy, which is reportedly more painful than the original shock therapy. He is even believed to be the inspiration for a Dead By Daylight killer called " the Doctor" who can shock his victims and make them go insane.

We put a lot of trust in doctors and most of the time they are definitely trying to do right by you. Unfortunately, there is some real evil in this world and their forms are boundless. Heart breaking really. Nobody wants to tell a family that some hack just poisoned their father to death.

I remember watching a true crime show on ID with my mom and one episode dealt with a doctor that was harming his patients to the point they became paralyzed because he messed up their spines during surgery. We honestly watch so many shows on that channel so I don’t even remember what show it was but I do remember being really PO’d when watching the episode.

Looked up some stuff on Starvation Heights and the lady that ran it. Hazard herself was sentenced to 2-20 years of hard labor but only served two and was eventually pardoned. Then she tried her own treatments on herself and died!

Eva Kor, the older woman from the Mengele segment, lived in and helped run a museum in Terre Haute, IN until she passed. My school was close, to the 6th grade class took a field trip there every year to hear her speak, so I was lucky enough to meet her and hear her story in person. Even now, more than a decade later, I get chills remembering the things she talked about. The Candles Museum still operates in Terre Haute, and though I do not know how it all works since her passing, I would definitely recommend visiting it if you get the chance.

I would've put Dr John Money on the list. He took a boy that had a circumsion gone wrong and forced him to live as a girl. His hypothesis was that all children are born gender neutral, a blank slate. Obviously this turned out tragically.

I'm glad HH Holmes was on this list, even tho he technically never finished medical school (or so I've heard). I have been intrigued with him since the first time I saw a documentary on him. There have been conflicting reports of his "body count", basically, reality may not live up to the myth. I guess these doctors pushed Jack Kavorkian out of the top 10, but then again....he never hid his practice of assisted suicide.

This video did little to quell my distrust of doctors. I've had so many bad doctors that I decided treat myself at home. This video tells me I'm doing the right thing. I'm not speaking hyperbolically. I've done minor wound "surgery" in my bathroom on more than one occasion. Other than some gnarly scars, I've had no issues recovering.

And now some states allow physician assisted suicide for terminal patients. Time to do some research. The health care system (especially the mental health care system) is in dire need of massive reform. Aside from mistakes & incompetence (including some pretty major examples of these), many doctors, nurses, therapists, etc. of many different kinds are partially-- if not solely--motivated by money, power & control. They are, after all, human & not infallible, though some, if not many, will be hesitant to acknowledge this. If you haven't experienced such things or even become aware of them, consider yourself very lucky. Ask yourself--why do lawyers prosecuting medical/psychiatric fraud & malpractice exist??? Do some digging into the sordid history of medicine (say, the last several hundred years). You will likely be shocked. Even fictional health care workers in classic books/films such as "Coma", "The Verdict", "Misery", "Anatomie" & "Extreme Measures" may give you a better sense of perspective regarding motivations (both good & bad) that health care workers might have.
