Another bad injury that most people have forgotten is what happened to Mick Foley against The Undertaker at Hell in the Cell. He was tossed from the top of the cage onto the announcers table and dislocated his shoulder and had internal injuries. Mick then climbed the cage to keep up with the script, was to be choke slammed and pinned on the top of the cage. Only problem is that when Undertaker choke slammed Mick, the cage broke and Mick fell to the ring on thousands of thumbtacks. Now that's a match to see, brutal.

I saw one in the mid 1970s in San Francisco... It was at the yearly battle royal... Earl Maynard a black wrestler who was Mr Universe I think in 1966.. There were 18 guys in the ring at the beginning.. Right after the start someone fell across his leg.. He SCREAMED in pain...not any phony scream either.. I KNEW it was a real injury...They immediately pulled the stretcher from under the ring and pulled him out as Don Muraco and Mr Saito pretended to stomp the broken leg.. The next week they announced that he broke his leg in 3 places and he was out for 6 months... OUCH!!!!

There was a Monday night raw before capitol carnage where Jacqueline was in a match ( can not remember vs who ) where her boobs popped out of her top a couple times after getting smacked around. I mainly remember this cause I had it recorded as I worked afternoon shifts and I always shared this recording to some of my buddies I worked with. Isnt every turn a double turn? Example Face Austin turns heel against Heel Rock..Austin destroys Rock and becomes Heel while fans feeling sorry for Rock, thus making him Face. When Austin and Bret did their turn, fans felt sorry for Austin and cheered him then Booed Bret for not stopping kicking his ass. Its not hard to do a double turn.

Not every turn is a double turn. Austin turning heel certainly wasn't one, and every time Big Show turns it's usually not. And honestly the Bret/ Austin double turn wasn't as sudden as people remember it being. If you go back and watch the months of shows leading up to it, Austin was gaining more and more momentum by just being his badass self, as his character is essentially a heel anyway but people were starting to cheer him because he is awesome, and meanwhile Bret was getting whinier and more antagonistic to American fans. The double turn really didn't come out of nowhere like they way they say it did these days.

But yeah that would be a double turn if so. It depends where the storyline went after that. But another example would be Edge. He simply turned heel, no one turned baby face for him to turn. Triple H was a baby face when he came back from his quad injury after years of being the biggest heel in the business, and they cheered him simply because they were glad he was back and healthy, and they rode that all the way to Wrestlemania against Taker. Just saying not every turn is a double turn.
