I think one of the best parts of The Punisher character was that in another comic, Punisher & Ghost Rider cross paths whilst tracking a 'Next level bad guy' and Punisher & GR fight to which GR gets hold of Frank and uses his penance stare on frank... which doesnt work, considering that frank has killed thousands of ppl in his life you would think that he would of died during the stare (he doesnt) instead Ghost rider is just confused, wondering why Frank isnt dying from his sins so to speak and GR says "how are you not dying, you are smothered with blood on your hands..." To which Frank just replies in the cold brutality that the character has "Because i dont feel the guilt or regret, id do it again and again" As in order for GR penance stare to work, the person has to feel guilt, regret or resentment in order to be punished and the irony that the Punisher cant be punished is a great notion

@Not PC If I remember correctly, I saw somewhere that sometime before GR used the Penance Stare on Punisher, Deadpool gave punisher an Angelic feather or something, which put a holy protection on his soul. Since PS doesn't work on those with a protection on soul, Castle thought PS didn't work on him because he has no guilt or regrets. But the truth is the feather protected his soul.

What's cool is that Bernthal got super involved with the military community throughout his time with the role. Hopefully they both can reprise they're roles in future MCU movies. You should have included the "What If..." Punished Killed Daredevil. It wound up being an accident but it was enough to send the Avengers and even minor heroes like Cloak & Dagger against him. Punisher didn't want to kill any more heroes (especially after having to kill Spider-man in "self-defense") so kept using his back-up plans. In the end, he tries to kill the Kingpin, fails, gets killed himself then killed Kingpin using a bomb with the note, "If you're reading this Fisk, I didn't come back to disarm it."

He had fought the Juggernaout, Firelord (a Galactus Erald) and tons of superhumans...and won, the moment the radioactive spider bite him, the normal physiology rule for him has gone the way of the dodo. The only reason the Punisher in that comic succeed as he succeed in killing all superhuman it's because the author Garth Ennis had an hard on for the character and the 'hard man that do hard choice' and so to make his pet gary stu characters look invincible he nerf all the opposition, because hey we can't make the hard man look weak. The entire story is a masturbatory act for a childish man that can't fathom people like thing different from his taste.

Yeah, the issue of "What If?" where Punisher kills Spiderman was a favorite of mine. Punisher inadvertently reveals Spiderman's identity to the public, the mob kills Aunt Mae just cause, and then a heavily drugged Parker escapes the hospital and comes for revenge on Castle. Castle is forced to use some very dirty tricks to finish him off.

The original Punisher series was my favorite comic growing up and i had no idea how over exposed the character had become. I knew about War Journal and War Zone and even Armory which i loved but i think it sucks that a character's popularity can actually lead to it's end. I was heartbroken when the original Punisher was cancelled and no amount of ret-conning could convince me to pick up another comic ever again. I think they even turned War Journal into a woman.

The Punisher Maxx origin story adds sort of a cool twist of why his family dies. Frank makes a Faustian type deal with to survive in Vietnam. Probably the best version of Castle, as it keeps his 'Nam origins, doesnt erase all the things he did from the 70s/80s/90s and is sort of "old man Punisher" So its possible in these alternate universes he always makes the deal, or doesnt and just dies in Nam.

I think the way punisher killed wolverine is the same way the electric chair works. He fried wolverines brain. In most itterations of wolverine his healing factor is tied to his brain so as long as his brain can still function he'll heal but if you were to fry if then yk . . . That won't really heal anything lol

Dr. Doom for the most part is a villain; however, one or two issues he is sought after to usually fix some cataclysmic event that threatens their existence. Doc Ock? Bad guy, so kudos there. Venom is classified as an antihero. Yeah. He and Spider-Man fight a lot. However, he needed help from him to stop Carnage. So every now and then he's twarting other villains.
