In the MAX imprint, there is no "Death" or "Mistress Death". He was basically talking to himself... There is no "Spiderman", "Iron Man" "Hulk" etc in the MAX universe. It's grounded in reality, not in the 616 universe.

Marvel knights run of the punisher would be a sick upload dude i started at punisher max years ago read the whole run and all the one shots after never made it too the marvel knights run but from what i rember its the precursor to the max run and leads up to micro turning on frank and has the Russian and the more famous foils

I love the story of the Punisher. A tragic event that turned a soldier of the US into a warrior who declared war on the criminal society that was created and fostered by the same country he had fought for. Frank Castle is the perfect example of how one bad day can change a man forever

While I'm not a fan of Ennis I will say his Punisher stuff is his best work including this. The only thing I dislike is I kinda don't like the idea of Frank more or less using his family's death as an excuse rather than an emotional undercurrent as to why he became The Punisher but that's just me. Besides that, very good work and compared to Ennis's other works, his edginess actually works for MAX imo.

I respect it's zero fucks given attitude and Ennis's honesty but its not very good imo and the show is much better in my eyes but then again tbf we wouldn't have the show without the comics first so I understand that. I'll hold my hands up and admit I haven't read much Preacher so I might give that a chance. Both are/probably better than Crossed though

Read it. It ends randomly. When crime ends, he'll end. But bc, according to logical reasoning, morals are subjective. This is why most people do good or bad by popular opinion. It's probably why he's not so popular. Even if morals were objective, a clear line of right and wrong, the idea of punishment would make the Punisher a Solomon's sword of true wisdom. Since society, science, and psychology have yet to pinpoint mortality as objective, morals will continue to be subject to change in culture, wars, and debated opinions. I, for one, WANT to believe in objective morality or at least that it is out there somewhere in the human psychey or elsewhere, waiting to be discovered. If discovered, life may actually have a purpose and meaning for all.

Its SAD to see what current day Marvel Comics has done to Frank Castle Punisher.. because the Punisher skull symbol had become ICONIC to modern day law enforcement & the American military.. today's ANTI law enforcement & American military Marvel Comics writers decided to DESTROY 1st Punisher's skull symbol..& then Frank Castle HIMSELF by taking away his guns & then his HISTORY by publishing a story where Frank Castle had been a SERIAL KILLER as a youth even BEFORE going to Vietnam..& then that his wife had SURVIVED the Central Park mob shootout that killed his children..then at a point where Frank was at his lowest...she showed up to let Frank know that not ONLY was she STILL ALIVE.. but also that she was DIVORCING him & had SOLD OFF all his safe houses & weapoins..& was keeping half for HERSELF & donating the other half to charity In the end Frank Castle Punisher is EXILED to another dimension.. with his new COW SKULL" symbol & swords as his weapons Marvel Comics did this KNOWING that Frank Castle Punisher is about to make his MCU debut & that the Punisher skull symbol is one of Marvel Comics MOST PROFITABLE IPs IMO this decision by the WOKE ..ANTI AMERICAN & ANTI law enforcement Marvel Comics writers is yet ANOTHER proves that they would rather VIRTUE SIGNAL than run a SUCCESSFUL business .. anyways as a PATRIOTIC & PRO law enforcement American..im OUT ..good luck running a once ICONIC brand into the GROUND! 😖

Wrong. Also, paragraphs and spacing wouldn't hurt. Anyway, the Punisher skull should never be worn by soldiers or cops. Especially cops. Everything the Punisher does is counter to what police do. Police are to enforce laws and peace, earning the public trust, not gun down criminals in the streets as judge, jury, and executioner. People don't trust cops anymore as is. Why make it worse? As for soldiers? Frank fights a war that never ends. He is some ways enjoys the killing. It's all he likes. That's something a soldier should never be. They are trained to fight the enemy to defend their country and people. There is a Punisher comic where he addresses this very fact. Frank makes it clear to cops and soldiers that he does NOT want them wearing his symbol. Marvel had every right to change that symbol. Think it through. No replies will be seen or read 💀
