The truck I love the most is MAN TGX. Intact, it also can come with a V8 engine sometimes. But what makes MAN so great is their brand promise 'Consistantly efficient'! For me from UK, I love 1. MAN, 2. Volvo, 3. Mercedes, 4. Scania and the last 6 trucks in order best.

1:55 N-m means "Newton meters" For US people using the English system, we use hp (horsepower) and lb-ft (torque), whereas Metric people use Watts for power and N-m for torque. To be consistent, use one or the other -- don't mix the two unless you use state both. In this particular case, you state hp and N-m -- mixing the two and confusing the listener.

Bill K, the Mack is still new and yet to be broken in; the Pinnacle I moved out of with the same engine pulled better but it also had 200,000 miles on it and all the required overhead tune up stuff has been done to it. I used to drive a 2005 Freightliner Columbia with the MB4000 and it pulled better on mild hills but wasn't that strong in the mountains. It had 3.55 rears with a 10 speed overdrive trans so it may have been set up wrong; I had a friend with Century Class powered by a MB4000 and it was stronger than hell. Instead of MAN TGX straight-six, for example, I expected MAN TGX 680 V8, which offers 680hp, and instead of Volvo FH16 straight six, I expected VOLVO FH16 750, offering 750hp. I am fine with Scania R730, and I feel that it should be declared the most powerful truck, since it can convert most of the engine power into torque, translating into more usable power than Volvo 750. As for Shockwave, while I agree that it's the most powerful truck, if the list was mine, I wouldn't include it, since it is a game truck, and not a usable truck, eg, towing, etc.

I am from germany, yes the greatest Trucks here are from Volvo and Scania. Yes Mercedes builds a V8 in their trucks, but they are rubbish in comparism. With the Volvo FH 750 and Scania 730 you pull everything up to 200 tonns in special transports. In regular use these trucks can drive 90 kmh with a full trailer when driving up a hill with a rise of 10% (don't know how you measure hillclimbs in US) and consume under 40 liters per 100 km. These Trucks are awesome.
@organbuilder2725 жыл бұрын
Your enthusiason for Volvo and Scania is admirable But...!! 40 liters per 60 miles - about 2/3 of a liter per mile. Grades everywhere are measured in the number of feet of rise over 100 feet of distance.
@TobiasRieperGER5 жыл бұрын
@@organbuilder272I nvever heard or red about your grades for fuel economy. Its a formula for calculating rise of slopes and has nothing to do with mileage or consumption. USA is the last country using the imperial system. All others using metric. UK and Australia changed to metric decades ago. In metric system we calculate consumption per 100 km (62 miles). Using miles per gallon is not precise enough. My Toyota needs 7 liters per 100km. Thats a mileage of 33,6. Not bad for a van with 177 HP and 400 Nm (295 ft-lb). What about the c510 kenworths in Australia? Didn’t see them on this list. I thought this video was going to be about trucks that actually had power.
@GabbaNils3 жыл бұрын
It only has 600 hp and 1950 lb-ft or 2644 NM the new scania 770s has 770 hp and 2728 lb-ft or 3700 NM. its way more powerful

Oh that Volvo ! again they have knocked it out the park!No surprise that you see them throughout Europe,always been known for the reliability and power which is what hauliers want and need!

I cringed inside when he said “pounds feet of torque”
@TheObsesedAnimeFreaks4 жыл бұрын
Redundant yes, but lb/f of torque is quite literally what most people say. should they? who knows, it tells people what this usually unfamiliar unit of measurement is measuring, so it puts it in a frame of reference. a lot of people will understand that torque means "how hard something spins or pushes" not everyone will know what the unit of measurement for that is. hints the lb/f or torque usage in common vernacular.

Well either way it makes him sound like he doesn’t really know what he’s talking about, and I don’t think he does. It’s just another wannabe watch mojo channel.

Funny number one isn't the Australian road train truck the 1000 hp Kenworth mining tractor.
@maranthonyfrancisco71945 жыл бұрын
might only be specially built for that and not able to pass the euro 4 standards
@masterq2.0335 жыл бұрын
The Kenworth you talking about only has 600hp , the other 400hp comes from a powered trailer. This video is really not accurate and concistant in the metrics used.

Yes. He performed at an air show in Missouri. He raced a few airplane down the runway at over 300mph.

@@TheBoldchris Haha... I don't why they included this shockwave in this list with other hauling trucks
@TheBoldchris5 жыл бұрын
I agree. I really don’t see this as a powerful “truck” as it doesn’t have 90 percent of what makes a truck. It can’t haul and it’s not even road legal. Don’t get me wrong I like seeing shockwave in shows it is amazing what they have put jet engines on, but it isn’t really a truck. (It would melt the trailer, lol)
@ayandangwenya7404 жыл бұрын
every truck that appeared in the video is very nice, powerful but the last one ummmmm that is way off the limit ..are we racing with trucks again.? aahaaa man ..
@leaguemastergg36475 жыл бұрын
I was expecting to be hearing about the most powerful trucks with well over 1000hp like racing semis and trucks with a lot of aftermarket modifications
